SBLive Missouri Top 25 boys basketball rankings: Vashon finishes No. 1 in final rankings

After the dust settled and three more state champions were crowned, Vashon is the top team in the final SBLive Missouri Top 25 rankings for the 2021-22 basketball season. The Wolverines claimed their 13th state title last weekend with their win over Father Tolton in the Class 4 final.
1. Vashon (27-4)
The Wolverines defeated Father Tolton in the Class 4 final 57-49 to win their fourth straight title.
2. Christian Brothers College (26-6)
The Cadets defeated Nixa 68-51 in the Class 6 title game to win their first state championship since 2014.
3. Webster Groves (24-8)
The Statesmen defeated Helias 72-53 to earn the Class 5 title for the first time since 2018.
4. Staley (27-5)
The Falcons claimed the third-place trophy in Class 6 after losing to Nixa in the semifinal and then defeating Chaminade in the third-place game.
5. Chaminade (24-8)
The Red Devils dropped a pair of games in the state final four to earn fourth place in Class 6.
6. Blair Oaks (26-2)
Season Complete.
7. Bolivar (25-5)
Season complete.
8. Liberty (25-3)
Season complete.
9. Father Tolton (22-9)
The Trailblazers lost to Vashon in the Class 4 title game to earn runner up honors.
10. Nixa (27-3)
The Eagles finished the season as the Class 6 runner ups after losing to CBC in the title game.
11. Cardinal Ritter (20-9)
The Lions fell to Webster Groves in the Class 5 semifinal before defeating Springfield Catholic in the third place match up.
12. Westminster Christian Academy (26-2)
Season complete.
13. Norwood (31-1)
Season complete.
14. South Iron (28-4)
Season complete.
15. Thayer (28-2)
Season complete.
16. Mexico (28-1)
Season complete.
17. New Madrid County Central (21-8)
The Eagles fell to Vashon in the Class 4 semifinals before defeating Pembroke Hill to claim the third-place trophy.
18. Charleston (29-3)

19. Monroe City (22-5)

20. Springfield Catholic (24-6)
The Fightin Irish dropped a pair of close contests to finish fourth in Class 5.
