Photos: Blue Springs South tops Ozark for berth in Missouri Class 5 softball semifinals
Jaguars win seventh straight game to improve to 31-2
The Blue Springs South softball team is headed back to the Missouri final four for the sixth time in seven years after the Jaguars defeated visiting Ozark 6-3 on Wednesday.
Blue Springs South (31-2) has won seven straight games and will next face Marquette (20-9) in the Class 5 semifinals at 1 p.m. next Friday at the Killian Softball Complex in Springfield. Marquette advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 win over Lindbergh on Wednesday.
Ozark (28-8) had a 14-game win streak snapped with Wednesday's loss. The Tigers won the Class 5 District 5 tournament by outscoring Springfield Central, Joplin and Nixa by a combined score of 28-1.
