OVERLAND PARK, Ks. – The Incarnate Word Academy girls basketball team traveled across the state this weekend and picked up a pair of victories over Notre Dame de Sion and Bishop Miege of Kansas. 

Led by 22 points from standout senior forward Natalie Potts, the Red Knights defeated Kansas powerhouse Bishop Miege 68-45 on Saturday afternoon at Johnson County Community College to run their national-best winning streak to 91 games.  

The top-ranked team in the SBLive Missouri Power 25 girls basketball rankings and the No. 6 team in the SBLive Power 25 national girls basketball rankings, Incarnate Word improved to 23-0.

Senior guard Brooke Coffey added 13 points in the win, including three 3-pointers. Junior Kaylynn Janes added 12 points.

Sophomore Grace McCallop led Bishop Miege with 19 points, including 15 in the first half. Bishop Miege has won 23 state championships, including winning titles in 2021 and 2022.
