Here are the candidates for SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Zach Allen, St. Louis University High football

A sophomore, Allen had a career game in SLUH's 48-6 win at Vianney. He caught five passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, including a 93-yard touchdown catch and run that broke the school's record for longest-touchdown reception.

Olivia Adams, Centralia softball

In a 2-1 win over Monroe City, the senior laid down a sac but to score Ellie Page for the game-winning RBI to help the Panthers secure a Clarence Cannon Conference showdown.

Cailyn Auffert, Maryville girls golf

Auffert broke another school record for the Spoofhounds by shooting a 73, a new school record for best score over 18 holes during the Chillicothe Invitational on Sept. 21. She broke the school record for nine holes lowest score earlier this season.

Mallary Barks, Woodland girls volleyball

Barks recorded a double-double with 20 kills and 16 digs in a 3-1 win over Meadow Heights on Sept. 21

Chloe Bateman, Marshfield softball

Provided the game-tying home run in an eventual win against Seneca on Tuesday and hit a grand slam — her second of the season — in a Big 8 Conference win on Friday against Logan-Rogersville.

Emree Cameron, Nevada girls golf

The junior, last year’s Class 2 runner-up, fired a 2-under 69 to take first place at the eCarthage.com Invitational on Monday.

Nina Cillo, Oakville girls volleyball

The junior setter secured career assist No. 1,000 in a match against Parkway Central on Sept. 19.

Kelly Clibon, Union Star girls volleyball

The senior middle blocker/outside hitter recorded career kill No. 500 in a contest against Mound City on Sept. 21.

Lydia Coulson, Capital City softball

The Central Florida pledge had a big day for the Cavaliers in an 8-0 win over Sedalia Smith-Cotton. She struck out 10 in five innings to earn the win and then went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.

Chris Daniels, Reeds Spring football

Daniels, a senior, broke the school's single-game rushing record with 373 yards rushing in the Wolves' 63-44 victory at Marshfield. He scored three touchdowns.

Brady Dapkus, Southern Boone football

The sophomore returned a kickoff 88 yards with 58 seconds left to give the Eagles a 35-34 lead over Quincy (Ill.) Notre Dame and then intercepted a pass at the 30-yard line to seal the win. He also caught a 48-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 6-yard score playing a Wildcat quarterback.

Dillon Duff, De Smet football

The junior quarterback fueled the Spartans' 49-14 Metro Catholic Conference win at rival CBC. He ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns on three carries and passed for 94 yards and a score. 

Mariah Denney, Sullivan girls cross country

She set a new 5K record for the Eagles by running 19:13.3 at the Gans Creek Classic to take first place in the White Division on Saturday.

Olivia Emery, Neosho softball

The sophomore threw a no-hitter and struck out 12 batters on Friday against Springfield Glendale.

Holland Guilliams, Jackson girls volleyball

The future Southeast Missouri State Redhawk recorded her 1,000th career dig. She’s a four-year starter for the program and was the SEMO Conference Player of the Year last season.

Quenton Hughes, Neosho football

He tossed two touchdown passes to Hudson Williams in a 35-21 loss to Carthage and in the process the third-year starter eclipsed 5,000 career passing yards.

Finley LaForge, Grain Valley girls tennis

LaForge, a returning state semifinalist from last fall, picked up the No. 1 singles title and joined Kylee Bragaw in winning the No. 1 doubles division at the Raymore-Peculiar Invitational.

Tayber Gray, South Callaway football

In a 50-42 shootout win over Louisiana on Friday, the senior set a new school record with six touchdown rushes in the victory. He finished with seven total TDs to help the Bulldogs improve to 3-2.

James Holmes, Confluence football

The senior made the most of his 11 carries by rushing for 252 yards and five touchdowns in a 50-0 win over Missouri Military Academy.

Madden Irving, Chaminade football

The junior running back racked up 205 rushing yards and six touchdowns on just 15 carries in a 59-0 win over Soldan.

Chloe Lin, Sikeston girls tennis

The senior helped the Lady Bulldogs pick up win No. 1 singles title at the Charleston Singles Invitational. She was one of four Sikeston players to take first.

Breia Lowry, Truman girls tennis

The sophomore won at No. 1 singles and then picked up a win at No. 1 double with Julia Schultz to help the Lady Patriots pull out a 5-4 win over Oak Park.

Brayden Matheny, Hallsville football

The junior threw six touchdown passes to help the Indians escape with a 50-42 win over Eldon.

Maddie McMillan, West Platte girls volleyball

The senior accomplished another milestone this past week for the BlueJays. She recorded career assist No. 1,000 in a game against Lathrop on Thursday. Last week, she reached career dig No. 500 in a match against East Buchanan.

Rien Moore, Blue Springs softball

The senior Northwest Missouri State commit fanned 17 and gave up only three hits and also added a leadoff home run and a double in a 6-0 win over Grain Valley.

Isaiah Mozee, Lee's Summit North football

The standout junior wide receiver caught three touchdown passes in the top-ranked Broncos' 34-22 win over Blue Valley (Kan.) Northwest.

Tyler New, Worth County football

In 8-man action, the signal caller accounted for six total touchdowns in a 70-0 win over St. Joseph Christian. 

Collin Parsons, Howell Central football

The senior ran for 216 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries and finished with five total touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Timberland. Parsons returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for a score and also added an 85-yard score on a missed field attempt in the second quarter.

Ali Perry, St. Joseph Central girls golf

The senior fired a 1-over 73 to secure first place at the Oak Park/Tom Stout Memorial Invitational on Sept. 18 in Smithville. She won the event by 16 shots.

Isaac Rivera, Lincoln College Prep boys cross country

The senior ran a 15:15 to take first place in the Gold Division at the Gans Creek Classic on Saturday in Columbia.

Steve Rogoz, Festus boys soccer

The Tigers rallied for a 2-1 win over Elsberry on Sept. 21 behind a pair of goals from Rogoz.

Marco Sansone, St. Louis University High football

The senior QB completed 13 of 16 passes for 314 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-6 win at Vianney. He connected with Zach Allen for a school-record 93 yard touchdown reception. 

Kadence Shepherd, Blue Springs softball

The Missouri softball commit hit home run No. 13 this season in a 6-1 win over Staley, breaking the Wildcats’ single-season home run record.

Adam Shipley, Francis Howell football

The senior quarterback threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-14 win over Troy Buchanan.

Macy Shumway, Smithville softball

The junior provided a squeeze bunt to score Shelby Callahan and provide the game-winning RBI in a 4-3 win in 10 innings over Blue Springs on Sept. 19.

Carson Todd, Poplar Bluff boys swimming

The senior won the 200-yard IM and was part of winning teams in the 200-yard medley and the 400-yard freestyle relay, helping the Mules pick up a 102-58 win over Cape Girardeau Central.

Zoe Trotter, St. Joseph Central softball

The St. Thomas University pledge reached base four times – two home runs, a walk and hit by pitch – scored four runs and had five RBIs in a 20-1 win over North Kansas City.

Olivia Van Cleve, Winfield softball

The Warriors avenged an earlier loss this season against Warrenton thanks to Van Cleve, who struck out 12 and tossed a complete-game shutout on Sept. 21.

Nathan Wardlow, Joplin boys swimming and diving

The junior won the 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM, while being part of the winning 200-yard medley relay for the Eagles at the Monett Invitational.

Avery Webster, Platte County softball

The senior capped off a win against defending state champion Kearney with a walkout single in the bottom of the 11th to give the Pirates an 8-7 victory on Tuesday.

Zora Whitt, East Buchanan girls volleyball

A week after setting the school record for digs in a game, the senior libero recorded her 200th ace in a game against Mid-Buchanan on Thursday. According to MSHSAA’s online record book, she is the 11th person to accomplish that feat.

Marquis Williams, Liberty (Wentzville) football

The senior running back scored five touchdowns, including a score in every quarter, in a 49-21 win over Washington. 

Ty Williams, Grain Valley football

The senior running back had another big week. He racked up 374 total yards (249 rushing, 125 receiving) and four total touchdowns in a 30-20 win over Blue Springs South.

Kinzey Woody, Fatima softball

The junior shortstop set a new school record for career home runs with her 21st, besting the school record of 20 set by Sammy Bunch in 2015, in a game on Monday.


Grain Valley football player Ty Williams voted SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week (Sept. 11-17)

Congratulations to Grain Valley football player Ty Williams, who was voted the SBLive Missouri high school Athlete of the Week for Sept. 11-17. He received more than 42 percent of the votes.

Williams, a senior running back, scored six touchdowns in a 45-21 win over Platte County. He ran 28 times for 335 yards and added 63 receiving yards.

Jackson football player Kai Crowe finished second in the voting after receiving more than 35 percent of the votes.
