Portageville's Jamarion Smith voted SBLive’s Missouri High School Athlete of the Week (10/30/2023)

Smith received more than 38 percent of the votes cast

Congratulations to Portageville football player Jamarion Smith, who was voted the SBLive Missouri High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 16-22.

Smith received 9,271 votes, which was more than 38 percent of the total votes cast for the week.

The senior running back ran for 432 yards and scored six touchdowns in a win over New Madrid County Central. Smith had touchdown runs of 63, 18, 3, 22, 39 and 93 yards.

St. Louis University High cross country runner Jackson Miller finished second in the voting after receiving more than 23 percent of the votes.
