Zach Barnes, RB, Jefferson City
The Jays continue to dominate on the ground and had 342 yards in a 37-34 win over top-seeded Pleasant Hill on Friday. Barnes had 100 yards and three TDs in the Class 4 District 5 final.
MicahJo Barnett, RB, Liberty North
He had the first touchdown and last touchdown for the Eagles in a 33-10 win against Liberty. He caught a 69-yard touchdown from Tillman Martin and added a 2-yard score.
Trey Bass, WR, Lutheran North
He had four touchdowns and 259 yards on five catches in the Crusaders’ 54-14 victory on Friday over Clayton/Brentwood co-op. Bass had touchdown catches of 18, 59, 59 and 88 from Dakarri Hollis.
Tyler Bax, QB, Blair Oaks
After falling behind early, Bax helped the Falcons rally with 59 unanswered points in a 59-7 win over Moberly on Friday. The first-year starter tossed three TD passes and ran for two more.
KeyShawn Boyd, RB, Cape Central
He accounted for a pair of touchdowns in the Tigers’ 37-13 win over Farmington in the Class 5 District 1 title game on Friday. His 18-yarder broke a 7-7 tie, while he tied an MSHSAA state record with a 99-yard run in the second half.
Preston Brown, QB, Hillsboro
Brown accounted for four touchdowns in the Hawks' remarkable 29-28 comeback win over Festus in the Class 4 District 1 title game after trailing by 21 points. The junior QB ran for three touchdowns and threw a TD pass.
Missouri high school football district championships roundup (11/11/2023)
Gage Busby, QB, East Buchanan
With all-state running back Trevor Klein out, Busby accounted for the bulk of the offense for the Bulldogs. He ran for two touchdowns on keepers in a 21-0 win over Mid-Buchanan.
Larry Cascone, RB, St. Pius X (KC)
In a rematch of a conference clash, Cascone had 40 carries for 247 yards and three scores to help the Warriors beat Maryville, 41-13, in a district championship game.
Jack Cheaney, RB, Nevada
The standout running back helped the Tigers pick up a 33-13 win over Carl Junction and the first district title in 25 years. He ran for 193 yards on 32 carries and four touchdowns.
Trevor Codak, RB, Eureka
Codak, a sophomore, scored five touchdowns in the Wildcats' 35-17 win at previously-unbeaten Rockwood Summit. He ran for 162 yards and four scores on 20 carries and also caught a 69-yard touchdown pass.
Destyn Dowd, QB, McDonald County
The Mustangs' quarterback accounted for five touchdowns as he helped the school win its first district title with a 40-21 win over Bolivar. Dowd rushed for 144 yards and four TD on 29 carries and threw a TD pass.
Andrew Elwell, RB, Webb City
The Cardinals ran for 480 yards in a 42-7 win over Carthage to win a district title. Elwell had 14 carries for 126 yards and two scores.
Jaylen Hampton, RB, Jackson
The standout freshman scored three touchdowns in the first quarter – two on the ground – in a 55-21 win against Seckman.
Top 25 Missouri high school football rankings (11/8/2023)
Ethan Hansen, QB, Rockhurst
He threw three touchdown passes – two to Jack Bichelmeyer – to help the Hawklets upset No. 1-ranked Lee’s Summit North 24-21.
Aiden Hinkle, QB, Oak Park
He ran for two touchdowns and helped the Northmen beat Park Hill, 17-14, to lock up the school’s first playoff trip since 2013.
Dakarri Hollis, QB, Lutheran North
He was 14-of-16 passing for 349 yards and all four of his touchdown passes went to Trey Bass. Hollis now had 41 touchdowns on the year with zero interceptions.
Gavyn Hoover, QB, Seneca
The senior guided the Indians to a third straight district title. He had touchdown runs of 15, 23, 12 and added a 50-yard run that set up a touchdown run by Jackson Marrs.
Tanner Howes, RB, Lee's Summit North
The senior running back scored three touchdowns in the top-ranked Broncos' 24-21 loss to Rockhurst.
Cohen Jacobs, RB, Kearney
The senior had a 70-yard touchdown run and added a 47-yard touchdown pass on a halfback pass to Bryce Page in a 29-13 win over Smithville.
Karvon Jefferson, LB/S, Lutheran North
The junior had 15 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and two sacks in the Crusaders’ victory over Clayton/Brentwood co-op.
Kellen Lair, RB, Fair Grove
The Eagles beat Strafford 26-10 in the Class 2 District 4 title game and Lair had three touchdowns and 181 yards on the ground.
Cameron Lee, WR/DB, Father Tolton
The Trailblazers beat Warsaw, 40-7, to win the school’s first district title. Lee had two touchdown catches on passes from Jake Ryan, ran for a score and had a 15-yard interception return as well.
Tate Marquardt, WR/RB, St. Francis Borgia
He had two touchdown receptions from Koen Zeltmann and also added a 60-yard run in a 42-25 win over St. Clair.
Malachi Rider, RB, Nixa
The senior had three touchdown runs to help the Eagles beat Joplin, 56-34, in the Class 6 District 5 title game.
Drevyn Seamon, WR, Rock Bridge
His 80-yard touchdown reception set the tone in a 38-7 win over Troy Buchanan in the Class 6 District 4 title game. He had eight catches for 181 yards as the Bruins won its first district title in 10 years.
Corey Simms, WR, CBC
The junior Division I prospect caught two touchdown passes and had a 17-reception on fourth-and-12 late that set up the Cadets' go-ahead touchdown in a 28-27 at Francis Howell.
Austin Weaver, QB, Helias
He ran for a pair of scores and passed for three more – two to Sam Lopez – in a 41-6 win against Capital City in the Class 5 District 5 championship game.
Aneyas Williams, RB, Hannibal
The Notre Dame pledge had 26 carries for 331 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 55-32 win over Warrenton.
Ty Williams, RB, Grain Valley
In a 27-25 win over Platte County, Williams ran the ball 26 times for 286 yards and scored three first-half touchdowns.
Wyatt Woods, QB, Republic
The quarterback guided the Tigers into the quarterfinals for the first time in 28 years after a 35-32 win at Lebanon on Friday. Woods ran for two scores and threw another to Caide White.
