Hillsboro's Payton Brown voted SBLive’s Missouri High School Athlete of the Week (11/27/2023)

Brown received more than 37 percent of the total votes

Congratulations to Hillsboro football player Payton Brown, who was voted the SBLive Missouri High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 13-19.

Brown, a senior running back and linebacker committed to Southeast Missouri State, ran for 247 yards and four touchdowns — 33, 11, 13 and 34 yards — on 20 carries and also returned a kickoff 86 yards for a TD in a 48-35 win over Pacific.

He received 13,128 votes, which were more than 37 percent of the total votes cast for the week. 

Riverview Gardens girls basketball player Breayra Lampley finished second in the voting after receiving more than 31 percent of the votes.
