Here are the candidates for SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Scottie Adkinson, Webster Groves boys basketball

The freshman had 13 points, including the game-winning bucket, in a 51-49 win over Principia on Friday and then had a team-high 15 points and added eight rebounds in a 59-55 win over Springfield Central on Saturday at the Vashon Winter Classic. 

Eddie Ahearn, Parkway South boys basketball

The senior became the Patriots' all-time rebound leader, passing previous co-record holders Kevin Pohle (2010) and John Rahoy (1986). The feat happened in a 56-35 win over Wentzville North Point in a game on Jan. 25.

Corbin Allen, Oak Park boys basketball

The Northmen’s point guard tallied his 1,000th point in a 71-60 win against rival North Kansas City on Jan. 22.

Hayden Bates, Festus boys basketball

He made seven of 10 shots to finish with 19 and added 14 rebounds to secure a double-double in a 72-27 win over Perryville on Jan. 24.

Maggie Collins, Platte Valley girls basketball

The Northwest Missouri State signee helped the co-op squad to the tournament title at the North Platte Invitational on Saturday. She was named the MVP for the fourth straight year in the event.

Mallori Edwards, Eldon girls wrestling

The freshman went 3-0 and pinned her way to the 110-pound bracket title on Friday at the Highway 13 Throwdown in Higginsville.

Jace Eskew, Bowling Green boys basketball

In a 75-50 win over North Callaway in the 99th Annual Bowling Green Tournament, the junior scored 22 points for the Bobcats on Jan. 23. He followed up with 18 points in a loss to Van-Far on Jan. 25.

Caleb Estes, Oak Park boys basketball

The junior guard became the second Northmen standout junior guard to reach the 1,000-point mark this week after helping Oak Park beat Blue Springs, 77-58, on Friday.

Carter Foglesong, Carl Junction boys wrestling

The junior went 2-0 during a triangular meet on Tuesday, beating foes from Marshfield and Neosho. He picked up his 100th career win during the meet.

Grace Frazier, Diamond girls basketball

The Missouri Southern commit had 34 points, including 24 in the first half, to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 68-50 win over Miller on Friday.

Terrell Gaines, Mountain View-Liberty-Birch Tree boys basketball

The senior became the school’s all-time leader in points for the Eagles’ program by surpassing the mark of 2,119 set by Kevin Irving in 1988.

Jacie Gavisk, Walnut Grove girls basketball

The Class 1 No. 4-ranked team lost 52-50 to Class 5 Webb City on Tuesday, but the junior surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her career.

John Hartmann, Saxony Lutheran boys basketball

The Crusaders got 26 points from Hartmann in a 75-33 win over Doniphan on Friday. That allowed the senior to surpass the 1,000-point mark in his career.

Jaryn Hatcher, Green City girls basketball

The sophomore paced the Lady Gophers attack with 35 points and outscored the opposition in an 84-33 win over Novinger on Jan. 24.

Addi Henke, Princeton girls basketball

During a 75-20 win over North Harrison on Monday at the Gilman City Invitational, the junior surpassed the 1,500-point mark.

Jayce Hitt, McDonald County boys wrestling

He went 5-0 at the Kyle Thrasher Invitational on Saturday in St. Charles and took first place in the 285-pound bracket. He also recorded his 100th career win.

Austin Humphrey, Timberland boys basketball

The junior hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Wolves a 50-47 win over Francis Howell Central on Jan. 23. He finished with 12 points.

Bre Hurd, Waynesville girls basketball

A week after surpassing the 2,000-point mark in her career, she scored 37 points in a 72-62 win over Washington. She became the school’s all-time scoring leader with 2,065 points and counting.

Alex Hutchcraft, Smithville boys wrestling

During a 58-21 dual win against Grandview on Jan. 25, Hutchcraft got a pin in his match and secured his 150th career victory.

Ryzen Isringhausen, Branson boys wrestling

The freshman improved to 37-1 on the season by winning the 106-pound bracket at the Central Ozark Conference finals on Saturday in Willard.

Jadis Jones, New Madrid County Central boys basketball

He posted a team-high 25 points to help the state-ranked Class 3 team pick up a 72-65 win over Nixa in the title game of the host Eagles' tournament on Saturday.

Eden Kibby, Logan-Rogersville girls basketball

In a 68-47 win over Willard on Tuesday, the sophomore drained eight 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 30 points for the Lady Wildcats.

Jacob Lafferty, Sparta boys basketball

He became the Spartans’ all-time leading scorer by passing Don Gideon, who had 2,118 points from 1952-55, during a win on Tuesday.

Adam Loucks, South Callaway boys basketball

The 6-foot-6 senior had 29 points, eight rebounds and three steals in a 73-44 win over New Bloomfield on Tuesday.

James Lovelady, Liberty North boys wrestling

The Upper Iowa signee became the Eagles’ all-time leader with wins when he recorded his 145th this weekend at the George Hoover Invitational in Liberty.

Aidyn Merchant, Macks Creek boys wrestling

The first-year program held its first-ever home meet on Jan. 24 against Camdenton JV and El Dorado Springs. Merchant picked up two wins on the night on two pins.

Brooklyn Moll, Perryville girls basketball

She had 10 of her 23 points in the second quarter to help the Pirates pick up a 60-51 win over Sikeston on Wednesday at home.

Andrew Moore, Troy Buchanan boys basketball

The junior guard surpassed the 1,000-point mark after tallying 33 points in a game against Park Hill on Saturday.

Landon Pace, St. Louis University High boys basketball

The junior, son of NFL Hall of Fame Orlando Pace, sank a free throw with 1.1 seconds to lift the Jr. Bills to a 52-51 win over Webster Groves on Tuesday.

Kaden Purler, North Point boys wrestling

He went 3-0 at the GAC Duals on Jan. 24 and in the process, the 138-pounder locked up his 100th career win.

Tristan Reed, John Burroughs boys basketball

The sophomore power forward scored 31 points — on 13-of-15 shooting — with 11 rebounds and four blocked shots in a 80-61 win over Granite City (Ill.) on Saturday at the Vashon Winter Classic.

Taylor Reiter, Timberland girls wrestling

She picked up a pin in a 39-18 win over Wentzville Liberty on Jan. 24, becoming the second girl in program history to secure 100 wins.

Neely Schaaf, El Dorado Springs girls basketball

On Tuesday, the junior knocked down the game-winner to help Class 3 No. 1-ranked El Dorado Springs beat Class 2 No. 1-ranked Skyline.

Carter Shipers, Chillicothe boys wrestling

Shipers recorded his 100th victory last week. The 120-pounder placed sixth at the Class 2 state wrestling championships a year ago.

Hanna Vaught, Polo girls basketball

The senior scored her 1,000th point in an overtime win over Mid-Buchanan on Monday at the North Platte Tournament.

Judah Vignery, Platte County boys basketball

The senior had 26 points in a loss against Blue Springs South and added 29 over Kansas City East Christian on Friday in the fifth-place game at the Grain Valley Tournament.

Luke Walsh, Vianney boys basketball

The junior had 35 points and added five assists in a win against CBC on Friday. 

Ericka Washom, Joplin girls wrestling

The senior won the 140-pound bracket at the Central Ozark Conference finals on Friday, pinning all five of her opponents.

Owen Wells, Houston boys basketball

The junior drained the game-winning late to help the Tigers secure a 55-54 win over Laquey on Jan. 23.

Dontrez Williams, Sikeston boys basketball

The senior had a double-double with 23 points and 17 rebounds — while adding six blocks — in only 22 minutes of action in a 75-38 win on Friday in the 62nd Annual Union Tournament.

Motie Williams, Liberty North boys wrestling

The state champion at 285 pounds a year ago, as a sophomore, Williams picked up career wins No. 100 and 101 at the 22nd Annual George Hoover Invitational on Saturday.

Ryder Williams, Versailles boys basketball

The senior surpassed the 2,500-point mark for his career after scoring 36 in a win against Eugene at the 93rd Annual Eldon Boys Tournament on Jan. 25. He had 35 points in the third-place game and passed his brother, Coby, on the school’s all-time scoring list.

Amare Witham, Springfield Glendale boys basketball

He dropped 39 points in an 85-64 win over Confluence Prep on Friday in St. Louis. On Tuesday, he had a game-high 33 points in an 83-76 win over Ozark in overtime.
