1. Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) (0-0)

Amari Bailey

Even with Bronny James missing the start of the spring season through injury, Sierra Canyon is in good hands with Amari Bailey (UCLA commit) and Shy Odom.

2. St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) (7-0)

Scotty Washington

Beware of St. John Bosco's three-headed monster of Scotty Washington, Jeremiah Nyarko and Lamaj Lewis (LMU commit).

Marsalis Roberson is one of the top players in California.

4. Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) (6-0)

Nick Davidson

Mater Dei has three great seniors in Wilhelm Breidenbach (Nebraska commit), Harrison Hornery (USC commit) and Nick Davidson (Nevada commit).

5. Damien (La Verne, Calif.) (15-0)

Damien senior Malik Thomas and junior RJ Smith

How far will Malik Thomas (USC commit) and RJ Smith take the Spartans? So far they're a state best 15-0.

6. Heritage Christian (Northridge, Calif.) (9-1)

Kyle Frelow

After starting 9-0, Heritage Christian dropped their first game of the season to Oak Park 46-39 last Saturday. The Warriors were without Luke Murphy and Justin Rochelin, an Arizona State commit, in the game. Heritage Christian's best win came against Harvard-Westlake on April 3rd. The Warriors won 72-61.

7. Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.) (7-2)

Cameron Thrower

Harvard-Westlake has great young talent led by junior Cameron Thrower and sophomore Brady Dunlap.

8. Ribet Academy (Los Angeles, Calif.) (0-0)

Reggie Howard

Mike Price and Tre White make up one of the state's top underclassmen duos.

Archbishop Riordan went 23-5 a year ago and was still in the state playoffs when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down high school basketball in the state.

KJ Simpson and Keith Higgins form one of the state's best backcourt partnerships.

13. Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, Calif.) (4-0)

Obinna Anyanwu (Cal commit) and Dillon Wilhite are the two top players for San Diego's top team.

14. Etiwanda (0-0)

After losing a lot of seniors, this year's team is in the hands of Tennessee commit Jahmai Mashack.

15. Torrey Pines (San Diego, Calif.) (11-0)

St. Mary's commit Chris Howell and Nick Herrmann lead a talented Falcons team.

16. Corona Centennial (3-1)

Sophomore Jared McCain may be the state's top shooter.

17. Windward (Los Angeles, Calif.) (5-1)

2022 UCLA commit Dylan Andrews and four star big man Kijani Wright will look to lead Windward to another Southern Section title after winning the Division 1 championship a year ago.

18. Campolindo (Moraga, Calif.) (0-0)

Aidan Mahaney is one of the state's best guards in the 2022 class.

19. San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno, Calif.) (0-0)

2022 guard Joseph Hunter has received scholarship offers from Arizona and USC.

20. Capital Christian (Sacramento, Calif.) (0-0)

Capital Christian is the top team in the Sac-Joaquin Section.

21. Dublin (0-0)

Dublin must replace many seniors from last season's 24-7 team, but they'll be okay under the leadership of Tom Costello, last year's Mercury News Bay Area Preps coach of the year.

22. St. Anthony (Long Beach, Calif.) (3-0)

Juniors Elijah Price, Kaih Williams and Jaayden Bush have started strong for the Saints.

23. Westchester (Los Angeles, Calif.) (0-0)

Whenever Westchester gets the green light from the Los Angelus Unified School District to start playing the question becomes: how far will senior guard TJ Wainwright take the Comets?

24. Birmingham (Lake Balboa, Calif.) (0-0)

LMU signees David Elliott and James Nobles will look to lead Birmingham to an Open Division City title.

Devon Arlington has pushed San Marcos to a 10-0 start.
