Ameere Britton scores 20 points as the Thundering Herd take Division II title
SACRAMENTO - Ameere Britton scored 20 points and Karlos Zepeda added 17 to lead Elk Grove past Foothill-Santa Ana 62-56 in the CIF State Division IV boys basketball championship at the Golden 1 Center.
It marked the first state boys basketball title for Elk Grove (28-6).
Jordan Hess contributed 14 points for the Thundering Herd while teammate DaJon Lott had a game-high 12 rebounds and four blocked shots.
Cruz Billings led Foothill (31-4) with a game-high 23 points.
