Mater Dei-St. John Bosco football game already sold out

The resale market is already going bonkers, and it's liable to get worse as Friday approaches

Need tickets to the St. John Bosco at Mater Dei football game?

Good luck.

Tickets to the game between the top two teams in the nation went on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, and they're already sold out.

But Mater Dei faculty and staff have nothing to worry about, right? Well ...

Discussions had been made about moving the biggest regular-season high school football game in the country to SoFi Stadium, site of Super Bowl LVI, but Mater Dei elected to keep the game at the Santa Ana Bowl.

4 days to No. 1 St. John Bosco vs. No. 2 Mater Dei: Game-by-game series history, scores, more

The resale market for the game is already getting ugly, and it's likely to only get uglier as game time approaches:

St. John Bosco and Mater Dei have held the No. 1 and 2 spots all season in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25.
