Freedom (Virginia) high school football team scores 91 points in first half

The undefeated Eagles have outscored opponents 461-32 in seven games this season

Scoring 91 points in a football games is impressive but not unheard of, especially at the high school level.

To approach 100 points in one half, though, and to do so while holding the other team scoreless? That might be a first.

Freedom (Virginia) hosted Colgan on Friday, and it lit up the scoreboard like the final act of a fireworks show. The Eagles led 91-0 at halftime and went on to win 112-16, improving to 7-0 this season.

The Eagles took it up a notch this year, but recent history between the two teams shows this result is far from unusual. Since 2019, Freedom has beaten Colgan by scores of 84-0, 55-0 and 84-20.

To be fair to Colgan, the Eagles have dominated every team they've seen this season. Their closest outing was a 36-13 win against Stone Bridge in week three. Otherwise, they have won every game by at least 42 points and shut out four opponents.

Not to mention, they just posted an absurd scoring streak of 268-0 across four games.

The total scoring margin for Freedom (7-0) this season is 461-32.
