The 2023 high school girls soccer season is underway in several states across the country.

SBLive Sports will be highlighting some of the top high school soccer players competing during the fall season (winter and spring soccer will receive attention later on).

Here are 21 of the biggest stars in high school girls soccer this fall.

Nyla Blue, sr., Bearden (Tennessee)

Blue, a Tennessee commit, is one of the leaders for a Bearden team that has captured two straight Class 3A state championships. Her younger sister, Jayla, is also a star soccer player.

Hunter Borgel, sr., Bishop Gorman (Nevada)

Borgel was the Class 5A golden boot winner a season ago with 23 goals. She recently had four goals and two assists in a victory over Shadow Ridge.

Gabby Chan, sr., Albertus Magnus (New York)

Chan led Albertus Magnus to a New York state championship last fall with 21 goals and 14 assists. Chan is committed to Columbia.

Cloe Chase, sr., Marist (Oregon)

Chase had 27 goals and eight assists last year as Marist won the Class 4A state title — the first in program history. The Oregon commit scored 14 goals through her first four games of the 2023 season.

Hailee Christensen, sr., Harrisburg (South Dakota)

South Dakota isn’t known as a soccer state, but Christensen received national attention last fall following a dominant junior season. The South Dakota State commit had 35 goals and 20 assists as Harrisburg won the school’s first state title in girls soccer.

Cassidy Corcione, sr., Freehold Township (New Jersey)

Corcione missed her junior season due to a torn ACL but is back at full strength this fall for a loaded Freehold Township team. Corcione will play college soccer in the Big Ten at Michigan State.

Lana Djuranovic, sr., Scarborough (Maine)

Scarborough finished with a perfect 19-0 record a season ago, and Djuranovic was a big reason why. The Miami commit and reigning Maine Gatorade Player of the Year had 28 goals as a junior, including the game-winning header in the state championship match.

Maggie Dutra, sr., Issaquah (Washington)

Dutra had 10 goals and 10 assists a season ago as Issaquah reached the Class 4A state championship game. She will stay home for college and play for Washington.

Samantha Erbach, sr., Waynesville (Ohio)

Erbach netted 104 goals through her first three seasons at Waynesville. As of Sept. 13, the Xavier commit was sitting on 128 career goals, 51 assists and 307 points.

Ellie Felt, sr., Sunset (Oregon)

The Class 6A co-player of the year as a junior, Felt tallied 24 goals and six assists last fall for Sunset. Felt will play college soccer in a to-be-determined conference at Oregon State.

Olivia Haley, sr., Wyalusing Valley (Pennsylvania)

Haley netted 30 goals as a junior and received Pennsylvania first-team all-state recognition. She entered her senior season as the leading goal-scorer in Wyalusing Valley history with 67.

Giovanna Hansen, jr., Mount Si (Washington)

Hansen is a versatile junior who can play any position on the field other than goalkeeper. Also a standout track athlete for Mount Si, Hansen is being recruited by Big Ten and Pac-12 soccer programs.

Kenadie Mashore, so., Doral Academy Red Rock (Nevada)

Mashore was an instant impact performer as a freshman for a Doral Academy Red Rock team that finished 17-1 overall with the lone loss coming in the Class 4A title game. She ended the year with 144 saves and 12 shutouts.

Hannah Pachan, jr., Walsh Jesuit (Ohio)

Pachan was a Division I first-team all-state selection following a strong junior season for Walsh Jesuit. The midfielder had 22 goals and nine assists.

Nevaeh Peregrina, sr., Ogden (Utah)

Peregrina was the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior after recording 17 goals and 10 assists. She is off to a strong start this fall with nine goals and seven assists through her first six matches.

Alexa Pino, jr., St. Joseph (Connecticut)

The reigning Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year, Pino led St. Joseph to the Class L championship last fall. She recorded 32 goals and 16 assists during her dominant junior season.

Aleyna Quinn, sr., Castle (Indiana)

A first-team all-state selection last fall, Quinn entered her senior season with 78 career goals. She recently reached the 100 mark with a hat trick in a victory over Evansville Harrison. Quinn is staying in state for college to play at Ball State.

Ashley Roni, sr., Skyline (Washington)

Roni scored the first goal in last year’s Class 4A state title game, a 2-0 victory over Issaquah. Skyline won a school-record 20 games and finished 20-0-1 overall. Roni, a forward, will play college soccer in the SEC for Alabama.

Sophia Sindelar, jr., Rocky River (Ohio)

Sindelar, a Florida commit, received Division I first-team all-state honors as a sophomore. In late August, she scored a single-game school-record six goals and added two assists in a victory over Avon Lake.

Bea Tinoco, so., Middletown South (New Jersey)

Tinoco tied a single-season school record as a freshman with 21 goals. The explosive forward is looking to exceed that total this fall.

Linda Ullmark, sr., Nichols (New York)

Ullmark recorded 42 goals and 12 assists a season ago en route to New York Gatorade Player of the Year honors. The North Carolina commit is one of the most dangerous offensive players in the country.
