SBLive Sports is spending the next couple of months featuring the best high school mascots in all 50 U.S. states.

Each state's winner plus the next 16 highest vote-getters will compete in our NCAA Tournament-style mascot contest in March 2024.

Earlier we showcased the 10 best high school mascots in Alaska, including information about each nickname's origin.
