Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Athlete of the Week for March 29-April 4 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

THIS WEEK’S WAFD BANK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Bryce Anderson, North Marion: Anderson intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown in the Huskies’ 41-0 win over Molalla.

Luke Ash, Clackamas: Ash rushed for 203 yards and a touchdown against reigning Class 6A champion Central Catholic, but the Cavaliers came up just short in a 14-7 loss.

Kaiden Ayoma, Marist Catholic: Ayoma had two interceptions as the Spartans won a Class 4A showdown with Marshfield, 39-21.

Brogan Biggerstaff, Pendleton: Biggerstaff passed for 297 yards and four touchdowns, powering the Buckaroos to a 49-26 win over Baker.

Devin Bradd, North Medford: The Black Tornado lost to South Medford 35-34 in the 35th Black and Blue Bowl, but Bradd did his part, rushing for a whopping 306 yards and four touchdowns.

Jayden Brannan, Wilson: Brannan had three long touchdown runs — covering 97, 45 and 28 yards — in the Trojans’ 54-0 win over Cleveland.

Tyasin Burns, Pendleton: Burns ran for a touchdown, caught five passes for 128 yards and another touchdown and recovered a fumble on defense, helping the Buckaroos beat Baker, 49-26.

Devik Chiang, Grants Pass: In the Cavemen’s 49-24 win over Eagle Point, Chiang gained a career-high 196 receiving yards on eight receptions, and he matched his career high with three touchdown catches.

Blake DeBisschop, West Linn: DeBisschop was among the stars of the 100th Battle for the Bridge, with three touchdown passes and about 250 yards passing as the Lions beat rival Oregon City, 40-13.

Deacon Edgar, South Medford: Edgar, a sophomore, passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more in the Panthers’ 35-34 win over North Medford in the 35th Black and Blue Bowl.

Spencer Fiske, Hidden Valley: Fiske kicked a 42-yard field goal in the final second, lifting the Mustangs to a dramatic 17-16 win over Henley.

Ashton Foster, Dallas: Foster passed for two touchdowns and ran for another, piling up 250 yards of total offense in the Dragons’ 50-6 win over South Albany.

Cooper Gobel, Banks: Gobel was 17 of 21 for 293 yards and three touchdowns, leading Banks to a 49-8 win over Tillamook.

Hunter Gonzales, Grants Pass: Gonzales was 18 of 21 for 330 yards and five touchdowns (no interceptions) in the Cavemen’s 49-24 victory against Eagle Point.

Gavin Haines, West Linn: Haines had three touchdowns (one rushing, two receiving) and accumulated about 175 yards from scrimmage, helping the Lions beat Oregon City 40-13 in the 100th Battle for the Bridge.

Kobe Hein, Centennial: Hein racked up a team-high 123 of the Eagles’ 334 rushing yards in the team’s 36-13 win over Parkrose.

Kara Helland, Tualatin: Helland ran to victory at the Three Rivers League girls cross country championships in a personal-best time of 19 minutes, 29.64 seconds.

Kyle Jaekel, Sunset: Jaekel was an efficient 14 of 17 for 204 yards and three touchdowns, guiding the Apollos to a 31-14 victory against Jesuit — their first win over the Crusaders since 1993.

Jackson Jones, Tualatin: Jones passed for 243 yards and three touchdowns in the Timberwolves’ 34-10 win over rival Tigard.

Jackson Kind, Glencoe: Kind rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns in his final game at Hare Field, leading the Crimson Tide to a 42-7 win against McMinnville.

Gavin Knights, Thurston: Knights rushed for 288 yards and three touchdowns as the Colts came from behind to defeat Sheldon, 45-31.

Caleb Lakeman, Tualatin: Lakeman claimed the Three Rivers League boys cross country championship with a personal-best time of 16 minutes, 23.19 seconds. His brother, Aaron Lakeman, finished second.

Marcus Ledesma, North Marion: Ledesma gained 120 yards with four touchdowns rushing, helping the Huskies cruise to a 41-0 victory against Molalla.

Jackson Lowery, West Salem: Lowery passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns and added a touchdown rushing in the Titans’ 49-6 rout of McKay.

Brian Mannion, Mountainside: Mannion passed for 331 yards and four touchdowns — including a 99-yard connection with Andrew Simpson — in the Mavericks’ 34-28 loss to Newberg.

Adrian Mashia Jr., Aloha: Mashia had three long touchdowns — a 70-yard punt return and receptions of 57 and 89 yards — in the Warriors’ 40-20 win over Franklin.

Jack McCarty, McNary: McCarty passed for 230 yards and four touchdowns in the Celtics’ 47-0 rout of North Salem.

Jakoby Moss, Mountain View: Moss had a career-high four touchdown passes (368 passing yards) in the Cougars’ 48-16 win over Ridgeview.

Joey Olsen, Lakeridge: Olsen, a freshman, had three touchdown catches in the Pacers’ 35-21 loss to Lake Oswego.

Gabe Olvera, Lake Oswego: Olvera rushed for 127 yards, added 100 yards receiving and scored three touchdowns in the Lakers’ 35-21 win over rival Lakeridge in the Battle of the Lake.

Luke Patterson, Marist Catholic: Patterson had four touchdowns (two receiving and two rushing) in the Spartans’ 39-21 win over Marshfield in a showdown between two of Class 4A’s top teams.

Clay Peden, Sherwood: Peden carried 10 times for a career-high 213 yards and five touchdowns in the Bowmen’s 62-20 rout of Liberty.

Price Pothier, Newberg: Pothier rushed for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers’ 34-28 win over Mountainside.

Slade Shufelt, Hillsboro: Shufelt rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns in the Spartans’ 28-16 victory over Forest Grove.

Logan Smith, Sprague: Smith had four touchdown passes, powering the Olympians to a 63-28 win over South Salem.

Carter Steeves, Corvallis: Steeves passed for 286 yards and four touchdowns (his second consecutive game with four touchdown passes) in the Spartans’ 28-22 win over Central.

Tanner Volk, Aloha: Volk accounted for four touchdowns — three passing, one rushing — in the Warriors’ 40-20 victory against Franklin.

Solomon Wolfe, Corvallis: Wolfe made five catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns in the Spartans’ 28-22 win over Central.

Jayce Knapp, Wilsonville: Knapp threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns in a 37-14 win against Canby.
