Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Arizona High School Softball Player of the Week for April 5-11 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

THIS WEEK’S WAFD BANK SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Reis Beuerlein, Pinnacle: In wins against Boulder Creek and Willow Canyon, Beuerlein pitched 15 innings and struck out 27.

Emily Carpenter, Pinnacle: Carpenter, a sophomore, went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs in Pinnacle’s 10-0 rout of Boulder Creek on Tuesday.

Sabrina Case, Sunnyslope: Case, a freshman, homered and drove in three runs in Sunnyslope’s 10-5 victory against Apollo on Monday. She also hit safely in wins over Valley Vista and Paradise Valley.

Bella Cummins, Corona del Sol: Cummins had three hits and three RBIs in Corona del Sol’s 13-1 win over Mountain Pointe on Tuesday.

Riley Flynn, Xavier Prep: In Xavier Prep’s 10-0 five-inning win over Chandler on Friday, Flynn pitched a one-hitter and recorded all 15 of her outs via strikeout. She pitched a four-hit shutout in a 12-0 win over Basha the previous night.

Morgan Greene, Shadow Ridge: Greene pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts Tuesday in an 8-0 shutout of Sunnyslope. She homered in a 4-3 win over Highland on Thursday.

Rylee Holtorf, Sandra Day O’Connor: Holtorf hit two home runs in Sandra Day O’Connor’s 12-5 win over Mountain Ridge on Tuesday.

Callie Honig, Chaparral: Honig homered and drove in three in Chaparral’s 12-3 win over Boulder Creek on Friday.

Liv Lostorto, Hamilton: Lostorto homered twice and drove in four in Hamilton’s 6-4 win over Xavier Prep on Tuesday. She doubled in a 5-0 victory against Desert Ridge two nights later.

Victoria Mendoza, Trevor G. Browne: Mendoza had a six-RBIs game with three hits and three runs in Trevor G. Browne’s 18-0 win over Maryvale on Thursday. She drove in five runs in each of her other two games last week, including a home run against North.

Sarah Nieman, Apache Junction: Nieman was 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple, a home run and three runs in Apache Junction’s 23-1 rout of Coronado on Tuesday.

Joslyn Sagote, Casteel: Sagote, a freshman, no-hit Higley and struck out 17 batters in Casteel’s 8-0 win Tuesday. At the plate, she had three hits and three RBIs.

Denay Smith, Desert Ridge: Smith fired a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts, pitching Desert Ridge to a 7-0 win over Desert Vista on Tuesday. She also went 3 for 4 and drove in a run. Three nights later, she homered and threw another complete game in a 5-1 victory against Corona del Sol.

Celina Wilharm, Benson: In Benson’s 28-1 rout of Valley Union on Wednesday, Wilharm put up this batting line: 5 for 5, four doubles, five runs, seven RBIs. She struck out 10 in four innings and earned the win. She also homered twice last week, including a grand slam versus Pusch Ridge Christian Academy.
