San Marcos held onto the top spot in SBLive’s CIF San Diego Section Top 10 this week after the Knights mounted a four-run comeback all with two outs in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Poway. The rest of the top five remains unchanged as well.

Granite Hills moved up to the sixth spot after splitting their two games against No. 3 Grossmont and recording a shutout against No. 10 Steele Canyon on Friday.

May 17, 2021

1. San Marcos (17-4-1)

The Knights completed their sweep against Ramona on Tuesday and took both games from Poway in Saturday's doubleheader. Outfielder Evan Sipe hit two home runs in game one including a walk-off home run in the 10th inning.

2. St. Augustine (19-2)

The Saints swept rival Cathedral Catholic, winning the final two games by one run each. They'll look to stay undefeated in league play with a series against Point Loma this week.

3. Grossmont (19-4)

The Foothillers split their two games with Granite Hills this week and then put up 19 runs on West Hills in Friday's matchup.

4. Eastlake (18-5)

The Titans have won eight straight games. Senior shortstop and MLB Draft prospect Marcelo Mayer has six home runs in his last four games.

5. La Costa Canyon (16-6)

After dropping three of four games, the Mavericks have won four straight including a sweep over Canyon Crest last week.

6. Granite Hills (15-6)

The Eagles split their two games with No. 3 Grossmont and shutout No. 10 Steele Canyon 4-0 on Friday.

7. Santana (15-4)

The Sultans have won nine straight and have recorded shutouts in their last three games. Senior outfielder Cole Contreras has a hit in six of his last seven games.

8. Rancho Bernardo (18-6)

The Broncos salvaged the final game of their series against San Pasqual on Tuesday before splitting a doubleheader with Ramona on Saturday.

9. Torrey Pines (16-7)

The Falcons split their two games against Carlsbad and will finish up the series on Monday.

10. Steele Canyon (14-7)

The Cougars put up 33 runs in two games against Valhalla before getting shutout by No. 6 Granite Hills on Friday.
