THIS WEEK’S ALABAMA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Logan Anderson, Fyffe RB

Anderson carried the ball 11 times for 144 yards and a touchdown and added a pair of two-point conversions in Fyffe’s 34-0 win over Walter Wellborn in the 3A playoffs.

William Atkins, Marion County RB

Atkins rushed for three touchdowns in Marion County’s 1A playoff loss to Decatur Heritage.

Javen Augustus, Montgomery Catholic LB

Augustus racked up nine tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks in a win over Houston Academy.

Mason Cartee, Priceville RB

Cartee ran for 255 yards and two touchdowns in Priceville’s 31-14 win over Etowah in the 4A playoffs.

Jeremiah Cobb, Montgomery Catholic RB

Cobb carried the ball 16 times for 201 yards and three touchdowns and added 46 receiving yards in Montgomery Catholic’s 56-7 win over Houston Academy in the 3A playoffs.

Sawyer Deerman, American Christian QB

Deerman accounted for five touchdowns – three passing and two rushing – to lead American Christian to a 41-12 playoff win over Williamson.

Mykel Johnson, Enterprise RB

Johnson carried the ball 22 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns and threw a 66-yard TD on a halfback pass in a 35-10 win over Fairhope in the 7A playoffs.

Quinshon Judkins, Pike Road RB

Judkins carried the ball 18 times for 185 yards and three touchdowns in Pike Road’s 37-0 win over Holtville in the 5A playoffs.

Brayden Kyle, Decatur Heritage QB

Kyle accounted for six touchdowns – four rushing and two passing – to lead Decatur Heritage to a 48-28 win over Marion County in the 1A playoffs.

D’quez Madden, Lanett RB

Madden carried the ball 28 times for 250 yards in Lanett’s 18-0 playoff win over Geneva County.

Santae McWilliams Jr, Wetumpka RB

McWilliams Jr. carried the ball 21 times for 165 yards and a touchdown in Wetumpka’s 6A playoff loss to Saraland.

Chuck Moore, Madison Academy LB

Moore had a 35-yard pick-six in Madison Academy’s 55-0 win over Hamilton in the 5A playoffs.

Johnny Morris, Spanish Fort RB

Morris carried the ball 17 times for 130 yards and four touchdowns in Spanish Fort’s 41-31 win over Calera in the 6A playoffs.

Justin Pegues, Thompson RB

Pegues racked up 153 yards of offense and two touchdowns in Thompson’s 49-10 win over Florence in the 7A playoffs.

Kobe Prentice, Calera WR

Prentice, an Alabama commit, caught 12 passes for 133 yards in Calera’s 6A playoff loss to Spanish Fort.

Tametrius Pogue, Theodore QB

Pogue threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for the game-winning touchdown with 15 seconds to play to lift Theodore to a come-from-behind 30-26 win over Prattville in the 6A playoffs.

Gabe Reynolds, Saraland QB

Reynolds passed for 155 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another TD in Saraland’s 37-7 win over Wetumpka in the 6A playoffs.

Michael Sharpe, Pinson Valley RB

Sharpe carried the ball 15 times for 147 yards and the game-winning touchdown in a 28-21 win over Muscle Shoals in the 6A playoffs.

Jahkobe Shaw, Williamson RB

Shaw carried the ball 27 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to American Christian.

Will Stokes, Madison Academy RB

Stokes rushed for 216 yards and and three touchdowns to lead Madison Academy to a 55-0 victory over Hamilton in the 5A playoffs.

Jamarion White, Hewitt-Trussville LB

White had a 40-yard pick-six in Hewitt-Trussville’s 42-20 win over Bob Jones in the first round of the 7A playoffs.

Mathew Windham, Calera WR

Windham caught two touchdown passes and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in Calera’s 6A playoff loss to Spanish Fort.
