The game of the night Friday was No. 17 Creekside's home win over No. 24 Coffee, but the upset of the night was undoubtedly No. 18 Jefferson falling to Hapeville Charter.

The biggest upset Saturday was Johns Creek's win at Rome, earning the Gladiators' first road playoff win in program history.

Georgia high school football scores, brackets: First-round updates, results

HOW SBLIVE'S GEORGIA TOP 25 FARED IN ROUND 1

1. Collins Hill beat Lambert 56-13

Collins Hill advances to 11-0 after a dominant first-round win and will face Pebblebrook next Friday. 

2. North Cobb beat Camden County 44-6

North Cobb advanced to 10-1 after blowing out Camden County. Roswell is next. 

3. Milton beat Duluth 45-14

Milton scored its 10th win and will face Marietta next Friday in Round 2. 

4. Buford beat Kell 38-14

Buford took a 21-0 lead, let Kell back in at 21-14 but then pulled away late. Up next for the Wolves is Lovejoy.

5. Cartersville beat Lithonia 51-0

Cartersville is 10-0 after shutting out Lithonia and will host Warner Robins next Friday in one of the marquee matchups of Round 2. 

6. Lee County beat Grovetown 59-12

Lee County breezes into the second round, where it will host Cambridge.

7. Ware County beat Banneker 42-28

Ware bested Banneker by two scores and will face Calhoun in the second round next week. 

8. Warner Robins beat Jonesboro 64-20

Warner Robins blew out Jonesboro in the first round and will face Cartersville next Friday. 

9. Mill Creek beat West Forsyth 49-20

Mill Creek got its 10th win after routing West Forsyth and will face McEachern next Friday. 

10. Langston Hughes beat Glynn Academy 42-14

Glynn Academy hung tough early, but Langston Hughes pulled away late and will host Shiloh in Round 2.

11. Lowndes beat Harrison 45-35

Harrison outscored Lowndes in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to win. Lowndes will host Norcross next Friday. 

12. Brookwood beat Newnan 56-7

Brookwood advanced to 9-2 after blowing out Newnan and will face North Gwinnett next Friday.

13. Colquitt County lost to Walton 41-17

Colquitt County’s playoff run ends early after a decisive loss to Walton in the first round. 

14. Woodward Academy beat Veterans 48-14

Woodward Academy blew out Veterans and will host Justice Haynes and Blessed Trinity next Friday. 

15. Westlake beat Effingham County 45-3

Westlake raced to a 38-0 halftime lead and then eased up. The Lions will play at Kennesaw Mountain in Round 2.

16. Rabun County beat Pace Academy 63-14

Rabun County advanced to 10-1 after a blowout win over Pace Academy and will host Jeff Davis next Friday. 

17. Creekside beat Coffee 28-18

Creekside outscored Coffee in every quarter except the fourth and will travel to face St. Pius X Catholic next Friday. 

18. Jefferson lost to Hapeville 12-10

Jefferson came into the playoffs 9-1 and suffered the upset of the first round at the hands of 5-5 Hapeville Charter. 

19. Benedictine beat Thomas County Central 59-0

Benedictine was up 38-0 at the half and the shutout continued for the rest of the game. Luella is up next. 

20. Trinity Christian (10-0)

First-round opponent: Bye.

21. Rome lost to Johns Creek 31-27

Rome's season ends in a thrilling home loss to Johns Creek, which earned its road playoff victory in program history.

22. Roswell beat Meadowcreek 52-8

Roswell advanced to 8-2 with a blowout win over Meadowcreek and will face North Cobb, led by four-star quarterback Malachi Singleton, next Friday. 

23. Grayson beat East Coweta 48-14

Grayson scored all its points in the first three quarters as East Coweta managed 14 in the fourth. Grayson will face Denmark next Friday. 

24. Coffee lost to Creekside 28-18

Coffee finished the season 7-3 after its 10-point loss at Creekside in the first round. 

25. Thomasville beat Washington County 42-7

Thomasville advanced to 10-1 after a blowout win over Washington County and will host Heard County next Friday.
