Top boys basketball performances from Derrick Brooks Preseason Shootout in Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. - This past weekend marked the fourth Annual Derrick Brooks Preseason Shootout, hosted by Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School. Eight boys basketball teams from around the Tampa Bay area were on full display.
Here's a look at the players who stood out over the two-day tournament:
Armwood
2022 forward Alonzo Lane had a team-high 21 points & 6 rebounds, in Saturday’s loss to Brooks-DeBartolo.
2023 guard Timothy Bailey added 20 points and 4 assists, in Saturday’s loss to Brooks-DeBartolo.

2024 guard Jordin Hall had a team-high 28 points & 7 rebounds in Saturday’s win over Armwood.
2024 power forward Rico Kindred added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in Saturday’s win over Armwood.

2022 guard Josiah Flowers had a team-high 7 points & 5 rebounds, in Saturday’s loss to Admiral Farragut.
