Eight Inglewood High School football players sign with Division 1 college football programs

Eight Inglewood high school football players signed letters of intent with Division 1 college football programs on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
Three Sentinels signed with UCLA: quarterback Justyn Martin, running back Tomarion Harden and defensive back Clint Stephens. Three signed to play for new Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell: receiver Justus Ross Simmons, receiver Louis Brown and defensive lineman/linebacker Marshon Oxley. Linebacker Taariq Al-Uqdah signed with Washington State. He was named to SBLive's All-State team earlier this week. Running back Damon Williams signed with San Jose State as a preferred walk on.
In 2018, Inglewood went 0-10. The next season the school hired Mil'Von James and the Sentinels have gone 27-2 in his three seasons at the helm. This fall, Inglewood qualified for the Division 2 Southern Section playoffs where they advanced to the semifinals before losing to top seeded Alemany 56-30.
