Several high school girls basketball squads in Oklahoma were involved in holiday tournament action.

One of those schools, Edmond North, was one of the tournament winners, beating Mustang on its home court in the title game of the Mustang Holiday Classic. That enabled the Lady Huskies to stay unbeaten with the new year now under way.

Likewise, Choctaw stayed perfect on the season after winning its home tournament last week.

Entering the post-holiday portion of the basketball schedule, here are SBLive Oklahoma's Top 25 high school girls basketball teams.

1. Edmond North (9-0)

After beating Mustang, 52-45, to win last week's Mustang Holiday Classic, Edmond North goes back to Mustang on Tuesday night for a rematch.

2. Choctaw (9-0)

The Lady Jackets won their Choctaw Tournament last week, winning decisively in their first two games against Santa Fe South and Shawnee before holding off Moore in the final, 45-39. Choctaw is home again on Tuesday to face Putnam City West.

3. Midwest City Carl Albert (8-0)

Carl Albert will resume play Thursday at the Bartlesville Invitational. The Lady Titans haven't played since beating Ada, 69-46, on Dec. 17.

5. Tuttle (7-1)

Last week, the Lady Tigers blazed their way to the title of the Bertha Teague Mid-America Classic in Ada, winning their three games by a combined margin of 100 points. Tuttle resumes action Tuesday night with a game at Blanchard.

6. Sapulpa (3-2)

Sapulpa's only two defeats were to Edmond North and Tulsa Union, two teams currently ranked in the top five. The Lady Chieftains are back in action at home Tuesday against Jenks before taking part in the Lincoln Christian Invitational starting Thursday.

7. Putnam City West (8-1)

The Lady Patriots haven't played since Dec. 17, a 62-31 road win at Del City. They're back in action on Tuesday with a road test at highly ranked Choctaw and then will be involved in the Putnam City Invitational starting Thursday.

8. El Reno (5-1)

Right before Christmas, Classen SAS played at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Ariz., making it to the title game before falling by two points. The Lady Comets will take part in the Putnam City Invitational starting on Thursday.

It was an impressive showing at last week's Tournament of Champions in Tulsa by the Lady Spartans, as they won the title by winning all three games by an average margin of 20.7 points. Bixby resumes play Tuesday at Broken Arrow and then heads to the Putnam City Tournament starting Thursday.

For the second time this season, the Lady Tigers were denied a tournament championship. The latter was in last week's Tournament of Champions in Tulsa, with Norman finishing third.
