Nationally ranked St. Thomas Aquinas (3-1) had a high profile spectator on the sidelines of its 48-22 win over Western in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Thursday night.

Rapper and producer Rick Ross — whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts II — posted footage of his eventful night at the Florida football powerhouse on his Instagram story.

Ross' son William Roberts is a 6-foot-2, 270-pound interior offensive lineman for the Raiders. The senior has eight scholarship offers, including from Colorado, Miami and Syracuse.

Ross mingled with fans at the game. He posted a video talking with a teacher at the school, and told her she was his son's favorite teacher. He shared footage from St. Thomas Aquinas' illustrious trophy room, highlighting former NFL player Michael Irving's plaque.

Ross, a 47-year-old hip hop executive and nine-time Grammy nominee, then shared footage dancing with the team in the locker room celebrating the win after the game.

"Such a beautiful program out here, St. Thomas," he said. "Looking at my son's carer, he already got three rings, they're going on their fourth. Me going to high school if you won a state championship back then, they gave yo a** one trophy and they put it in the glass and you couldn't touch it."

Ross himself played football on scholarship at Albany State, a Historically Black College in Georgia, in the 1990s.
