Bixby defeats Jenks: Oklahoma high school football state championship recap (12/1/2023)

Bixby raced past Jenks to bring home their sixth straight state title. Here are the highlights.

Oklahoma high school football powerhouses Bixby and Jenks met again in the Class 6A Division I state championship on Friday at Chad Richison Stadium at University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Bixby took control early and never relented in a 49-21 victory over Jenks, as the Spartans took home a state title for the sixth year in a row.

Do-it-all senior Kordell Gouldsby finished with more than 300 total yards and five touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving and one kick return).

Bixby (13-0) has now won back-to-back 6A Division I state championships after winning the last four as a 6AII member.  The Spartans were in the 6A-D2 title game every year from 2014-21 and won 7 of 8 championships before classing up to Division I.
