Vote for best high school mascot in America, Round 1: Oakville Acorns vs. Somers Tuskers

Oakville (Washington) is the 1 seed and Somers (New York) is the 16 seed in the West region

The bracket is set for SBLive Sports' 2024 NCAA Tournament-style contest to determine the best high school mascot in America, and Round 1 is underway.

Vote below for the No. 1-seeded Oakville Acorns (Washington) or the No. 16-seeded Somers Tuskers (New York) to advance to the second round, where the winner will face either the Yuma Criminals (Arizona) or Farson-Eden Pronghorns (Wyoming).

The Acorns earned a 1 seed by winning last fall's Washington contest with 198,232 votes, while the Tuskers won New York with just one vote to earn a 16 seed.

Voting for this matchup will conclude Thursday, March 21, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.

Even the mightiest of all oaks starts as an acorn, but Oakville’s athletic personification of the Acorn in its gym is something so mighty-looking that even He-Man might blush. 

16. Somers Tuskers (New York)
