Myers Park girls lacrosse tops Reynolds to advance to regional semifinal
WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA--Myers Park scored an upset in the third round of the NCHSAA 4-A girls lacrosse state tournament, upending No. 2 Reynolds on Tuesday night 15-11.
Myers Park, the No. 7 seed, led most of the game before Reynolds stormed back to tie it at 11.
The Mustangs scored the final four goals of the game to take the win and advance to take on No. 11 Marvin Ridge in the fourth round on Thursday. The game will be played at Myers Park since it is the higher seed.
Myers Park improved to 17-5 overall and Reynolds finished its season 18-4, with two of those losses coming against the Mustangs.
