Here are the candidates for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 3 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.
HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES
Brady Stober, Hickory: Stober completed 21 of 30 passes for 269 yards and three touchdwons, including a game-winning drive in the closing minutes of a 42-41 win over Dudley to advance to the 3-A state championship game.
Isaiah Lackey, Hickory: Lackey rumbled for 172 yards and a touchdown on 35 carries in the Red Tornadoes' 42-41 win over Dudley in the 3-A West Regional championship game.
Amaris Williams, Clinton: The 6-3, 265-pound Williams, who has committed to Florida, ran for four touchdowns in a 36-22 win over Northeastern in the 2-A East Regional championship game.
Tyler Budge, Weddington: Budge threw for 146 yards and ran for 88 yards and a two touchdowns in a 34-14 win over Independence to advance to the 4-A state championship game.
Tamear Webb, Hoggard: Webb ran for three touchdowns in a 41-20 win over Cardinal Gibbons to lead the Vikings to the 4-A state title game.
Deandre Nance, Seventy-First: Nance ran for four touchdowns and threw for two in a 50-36 win over Northern Nash to advance to the 3-A state championship game.
Al Lee, Reidsville: Lee completed 22 of 29 passes for 319 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-19 win over Shelby to advance to the NCHSAA 2-A state championship game.
