HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES
Landan Callahan, Reagan football: Callahan was the defensive MVP of the Shrine Bowl after recording nine tackles and an interception.
Carson Daniel, Central Cabarrus basketball: Daniel scored his 1,000th career point in a recent win against Hickory Ridge.
Olivia Robertson, Mallard Creek girls basketball: Robertson scored 11 points, blocked 10 shots and pulled down five rebounds in a win last week.
Grant Hamilton, Weddington basketball: Hamilton poured in 37 points and made 7 3-pointers in a 81-78 win against Gaston Christian.
Kate Sears, Watauga girls basketball: Sears scored 34 points and had eight assists in a 64-58 win over Mountain Heritage.
Javon Cowan, Triton football: Cowan was the MVP of the NCCA East-West All-Star game on Saturday, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries in a 35-7 East win.
Juke Harris, Salisbury basketball: Harris, who has committed to Wake Forest, became the Hornets' all-time leading scorer by notching his 1,849th point in a win over Thomasville last week.
Tristan Shivers, Hoggard girls basketball: Shivers scored 21 points and had seven steals in a win over West Brunswick. The sophomore leads the 8-0 Vikings with 14.6 ppg and 7.6 apg.
