Here are the nominees:

Ovester Grays, Hillside: With just a couple games left in the regular season, the Hornets have begun to play their best basketball. Grays has the team on a 4-game winning streak with back-to-back wins over Northern Durham and East Chapel Hill.

Karlyn Dixon, Mallard Creek: The Mavericks are among one of the hottest teams as the regular season comes to a close. Dixon has her team riding an 11-game winning streak and boasting a record of 19-3.

Susie Shelton, Mountain Heritage: Another ball club that's been on a long winning streak as of recently is Mountain Heritage. Shelton has the Cougars on cruise control, winning 16 straight games and having a record of 20-2.

Steve Lenahan, Marvin Ridge: We've got a second team with the name Mavericks on this list and under the guidance of Lenahan, playing some really good basketball. The Mavericks have won three in a row, with wins over Cuthbertson, North Mecklenburg and Sun Valley.

Brian Graham, Cape Fear: The Colts have only yielded one loss on the season and Graham has his team eyeing a deep playoff run as the postseason looms ahead. Graham has Cape Fear on a 10-game winning streak currently.
