We have 10 players nominated this week for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Softball Player of the Week from March 10-16 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, March 23 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Mary Peyton Hodge, Oak Grove

Hodge threw a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Grizzlies rolled over Rockingham County 9-0.

Haley Beavers, Ragsdale

Beaver had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and five RBIs in the Tigers’ 14-11 win over Grimsley.

Skylar Pittman, Wheatmore

Pittman had a double, triple and five RBIs as the Warriors overwhelmed Asheboro 16-0 in four innings.

Halona Sampson, Lumberton

Sampson was 3-for-3, including a two-run homer, and 3 RBIs as the Pirates dominated Gray’s Creek 16-6 in five innings.

Lily Keefer, Garner

Keefer blasted two home runs and drove in six runs as the undefeated Trojans overcame Corinth Holders 9-6 in eight innings.

Natayla Salo, Porter Ridge

Salo belted a two-run homer and pitched a complete game with 15 strikeouts in the Pirates’ 10-5 win over Mount Pleasant. The Wofford commit recently recorded her 400th career strikeout.

Addi Lockrem, Piedmont

Lockrem was 3-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs as the Panthers downed Marvin Ridge 3-2 in eight innings in a battle of undefeated teams.

Ava Francis, Ledford

Francis was 2-for-5 with a home run, double and 3 RBIs in the Panthers’ 13-4 win over East Davidson. She also doubled in a run as Ledford beat West Davidson 5-3.

Bel Varadi, Norfhwest Guilford

Varadi fired a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in the Vikings’ 2-1 win over Davie County. The senior standout was also 2-for-2 with a home run and 6 RBIs in a 19-0 romp over Page.

Peyton Lane, Martin County

The senior pitcher had a couple of big outings as the Knights took a pair of 5-1 wins. She threw a three-hitter with 17 strikeouts against J.H. Rose and tossed a six-hitter with 12 strikeouts versus Warren County.
