CHAPEL HILL, NORTH CAROLINA – Southern Durham wide receiver Jonathan Dillon, a member of the Class of 2027, turned in an impressive performance at last week's King of the Hill Tournament in Chapel Hill, leading to a scholarship offer from the University of North Carolina.

Dillon, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 175-pounds, impressed the Tar Heels with a series of highlight reel grabs to earn his ninth offer. Among the others are Miami, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Charlotte, East Carolina and West Virginia.

During the 2023 season, as a freshman, Dillon made 23 catches for 461 yards and scored four touchdowns. He also ran the ball seven times for 64 yards and three touchdowns.

With Dillon leading the way, Southern Durham hopes to improve on the 7-5 record it posted a year ago when it reached the second round of the NCHSL Class 3A state playoffs.
