Maddie Darrah, Holland Springfield
Darrah hit the go-ahead three-run home run to take the lead in the district final against Perrysburg, giving her six home runs in her last seven games.
Kayla Dykin, Avon softball
Finished with 10 strikeouts and allowed five hits in Avon’s 5-1 win against Amherst.
Robyn Ryan, Archbishop Hoban softball
Hit a grand slam over the center-field fence in the second inning against Tallmadge. The Knights won the OHSAA Division II district final 11-0.
Sara Gilley, North Olmsted softball
Went 4-for-4, recording a single, double, two triples and three RBIs as the Eagles beat Holy Name 10-0.
Natalie Susa, Walsh Jesuit softball
The sophomore struck out 14 and allowed just three hits. At the plate, she hit a two-run home run to take the game 4-2 over Riverside and advance to the district finals.
Carsyn Cassady, Watkins Memorial softball
Allowed four hits and struck out 13 to help beat Westerville Central 9-1 and clinch back-to-back district titles.
Lilly Campbell, Gahanna Lincoln softball
The senior hit a two-run home run in the third inning to help secure a 6-0 victory over Olentangy Liberty and win their Division I district final.
Carter Wachtel, Triway softball
Allowed just one hit, one walk and zero runs as she struck out 10 to lead the Titans to a 10-0 five-inning win over Springfield to win back-to-back district championships.
Audrey Franks, Northwestern softball
Drove in three runs to set the tone in an 8-0 shutout over Brookside in a Division III district championship game.
Meridith Rankl, Tuslaw softball
Struck out nine in a complete-game two-hitter and had a three-run homer as Tuslaw won 11-0 over Norwayne.
Kailee Herbert, Oak Hills softball
Launched a walk-off home run to lift Oak Hill 2-1 over Lebanon in a Division I district final, earning their first district championship since 2012.
Patrick Dinnen, Mayfield baseball
Allowed three hits and struck out 12 in seven innings to shut out Solon 8-0 in the first round of the OHSAA Division I sectional tournament.
Grant Nehrenz, Lake baseball
Drove in Mason Champagne in the top of the eighth inning to earn the 3-2 win over Glenoak.
Jae Smith, University baseball
Led the Preppers’ offense with two hits, two runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases as they took down Streetsboro 20-7.
Ben Leopold, Wadsworth baseball
Went 3-for-4 at the plate and finished with a double, RBI and a run as the Grizzlies took down the Midview Middies 9-0 and improved to 17-5 on the season.
Bo Lanham, Mogadore baseball
Hit a three-run homer vs. Independence to get the Wildcats back in the game. Mogadore scored 13 straight runs to get a 13-3 five-inning win in a sectional final. Lanham finished 4-for-4 and had six RBIs.
Drew Jones, Brush baseball
Finished with two hits, four RBIs and three stolen bases in the Arcs’ 12-2 rout over Harvey.
Mark Hulgin, Colerain baseball
Had a career-high 14 strikeouts to help defeat Goshen 6-3.
Blake Bowen, Wooster baseball
Went 4-for-4, had two home runs and had six RBIs in an 8-4 win over Brunswick.
Diego DeCello, Badin baseball
Went 2-for-3 with two runs and a double in a 4-3 victory over Mason.
Jacob Hatfield, Smithville baseball
Had the go-ahead hit in the seventh inning to stun Norwayne 5-4 in a Division III sectional game.
