Here are the candidates for SBLive Oklahoma’s high school athlete of the week for May 2-8. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to make a nomination in a future week, email nate@scorebooklive.com.

Alice Hsu, Edmond North girls tennis

Hsu won the Class 6A No. 1 girls singles title at the state tennis tournament over the weekend, helping Edmond North win the 6A girls championship. She won her semifinal match 7-6, 6-2 and then won in three sets, 6-1, 6-7, 6-3, for the championship.

Carrington Hessen/Marisa Stonis, Jenks girls tennis

The Lady Trojans' doubles team won the 6A No. 1 girls doubles championship, winning in straight sets in the semifinals and again for the title, 6-3, 6-2.

Sofia Acuna, Classen SAS girls tennis

A sophomore, Acuna was seeded third in the No. 1 singles division at the Class 5A state tennis tournament before beating the top two seeds in the semifinals (6-0, 6-0) and finals (6-1, 7-5) to take the championship.

Lily Plaster/Grace Shapard, Heritage Hall girls tennis

Plaster and Shapard posted a 7-6, 6-1 win to claim the 5A No. 1 girls doubles state championship over the weekend. It was the second straight state title for Plaster in girls doubles.

Abby Wise, Holland Hall girls tennis

Wise captured the 4A No. 1 girls singles championship over the weekend while helping the Dutch to the team title. She won her semifinal match 6-1, 6-0, and then posted a 7-5, 6-1 win in the championship.

Natalie Gillett/Faith Koontz, Holland Hall girls tennis

Gillett and Koontz claimed the 4A No. 1 girls doubles championship by winning their semifinal match in straight sets, as well as their title match, 6-1, 6-3.

Rylee Roberts, Edmond North girls golf

Roberts shot an 8-over par 152 to capture the Class 6A individual state championship last week.

Natalie Blonien, Altus girls golf

Blonien shot a 72 to finish as the 5A individual girls state champion by one stroke.

Layne Ailshie, Fort Gibson girls golf

A sophomore, Ailshie shot a two-round total of 153 (80-73) to win the 4A individual girls state championship by two strokes.

Jenni Roller, Regent Prep girls golf

Roller finished the two-round 3A state girls golf event as the 3A individual state champion, shooting a 10-under 134, including an even-par 72 for the second round.

Raychel Nelke, Pocola girls golf

A senior, Nelke won the 2A state individual championship by shooting a two-day total of 146 (68-78), winning her event by four strokes.

Allyssa Parker, Pocola slow pitch softball

The freshman, who was part of the Lady Indian basketball team's state title run earlier this year, helped Pocola capture another gold ball, this time in slow pitch softball. She went 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored in the Lady Indians' 9-3 win against Morrison for the 3A title.

Kylee Smith, Pocola slow pitch softball

Smith went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored in the Lady Indians' 3A state title win.

Jaycie Nichols, Caddo slow pitch softball

Nichols was 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs scored as the Lady Bruins claimed the 2A state title after an 18-8 win in the championship game against Ripley.

Kadey McKay, Caddo slow pitch softball

McKay went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored in Caddo's 2A state title win.

Karlee Russell, Turner slow pitch softball

Russell was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored as Turner took the Class A state title with a 7-4 win against Lookeba-Sickles.

Adison Lee, Turner slow pitch softball

Lee went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Turner's Class A championship game win.

Katie Bosley, Oklahoma Christian Academy girls track

Bosley took home the girls Class 2A 100 meter title (12.23) and the 200 meter championship (25.06) at the 2A state meet over the weekend in Catoosa.

Ellie Hoemann, Regent Prep girls track

Hoemann won both the 400 (59.77) and 800 meter (2:20.98) running events at the 2A state meet.

Daigan Miller, Minco girls track

Miller took first in both the 1,600 (5:29.84) and 3,200 meter runs (12:03.35) at the 2A state meet.

Lilly Ray, Weatherford girls track

Ray won both the 100 (11.96) and 200 (24.56) running events at last weekend's Class 4A state meet in Catoosa while helping the Lady Eagles capture the 4A girls team championship.

Madi Surber, Tuttle girls track

Surber claimed several gold medals at the 4A state meet. She won the 100 hurdles (14.52), the 300 hurdles (43.08), the 400 meter dash (57.70) and was part of the first-place 1,600 relay squad (4:00.39).

Cadence Carlos, Byng girls track

Carlos was the champion in both the 1,600 meter (5:29.13) and 3,200 meter (11:55.23) running events at the Class 4A state track meet.

Mercedes Crandall, Cache girls track

Crandall won the pole vault (10-6) and was part of the first-place 400 relay squad (49.78) at the 4A state meet.

Ally Stephenson, Kingfisher girls track

Stephenson took first in both the high jump (5-6) and long jump (17-11 1/4) at last weekend's 4A state meet.

Brinley Buchanan, Drummond girls track

Buchanan finished first in both the 100 (12.56) and 200 (25.95) meter dashes at last weekend's Class A state meet at Western Heights.

Shaylin Petty, Seiling girls track

Petty won both the 400 (1:01.44) and 800 (2:23.21) runs while also being part of the first-place 1,600 (4:13.07) and 3,200 (10:06.01) relay squads at the Class A state meet. Her performance helped enable Seiling to win the Class A girls team title.

Kamryn Baggs, Laverne girls track

Baggs won both the 1,600 (5:38.54) and 3,200 (12:19.70) running events at last weekend's Class A state meet.

Jaque Berry, Texhoma girls track

Berry won both the 100 (16.02) and 300 hurdles (48.03) at the Class A state meet.

Kallista Frye, Victory Christian girls track

Frye won both the 100 (12.24) and 200 (24.99) meter dashes at last weekend's Class 3A state meet held at Western Heights.

Korie Kizarr, Marlow girls track

Kizarr claimed two gold medals at last weekend's 3A state meet, winning both the 1,600 (5:34.62) and 3,200 (11:49.04) running events.

Chance Wilson, Rejoice Christian boys track

Wilson won both the 200 (21.79) and 400 (48.68) meter running events and was part of the first-place 800 (1:27.03) and 1,600 (3:26.54) relay events at this weekend's 2A state meet. His performance helped Rejoice Christian claim the 2A boys team title.

Ty Bliss, Gore boys track

Bliss won both the 1,600 (4:38.71) and 3,200 (10:00.39) running events at the 2A state track meet.

Gaige Maher, Warner boys track

Maher was the 2A champion in the 800 meters (1:59.10) and also helped the Eagles' 3,200 relay squad take first (8:27.50) at the 2A state meet.

Sawyer Hutchison, Fairview boys track

Hutchison won both the discus (168-6) and shot put (49-9) at this weekend's 2A state meet.

Alexander Daly, Cache boys track

Daly took first place in both the 200 (21.93) and 400 meter runs (48.80) at last weekend's Class 4A state meet in Catoosa.

Jaxson Brooks, Lincoln Christian boys track

Brooks won the 800 meter running event (1:56.49) and was part of the first-place 3,200 relay squad (8:01.50) at the 4A state meet while helping the Bulldogs win the 4A boys team championship.

Taylor Heim, Bethany boys track

Heim took first in the long jump (21-8 1/2) and was part of the first-place 400 (42.77) and 800 relay squads (1:28.39) at last weekend's 4A state meet.

Drevon Colbert, Stuart boys track

Colbert won both the high jump (6-4) and long jump (21-0 1/4) events at last weekend's Class A state meet held at Western Heights.

Zane Zamanski, Southwest Covenant boys track

Zamanski took two gold medals at last weekend's Class A state meet, winning both the shot put (52-0 1/2) and discus (146-2).

Ethan Stovall, Oklahoma Christian School boys track

Stovall won both the 1,600 (4:31.56) and 3,200 (9:58.56) running events at last weekend's Class 3A state meet at Western Heights, and was part of the first-place 3,200 relay squad (8:08.58). His performance helped lift the Saints to the 3A boys team championship.

Kyron Downing, Vinita boys track

Downing took first in the 200 meter dash (21.86) and was also part of the first-place 800 (1:29.09) and 1,600 (3:28.40) relay squads at last weekend's 3A state meet.

Gavin Freeman, Heritage Hall boys track

Freeman won the 100 meter dash (10.81) and was part of the first-place 400 meter relay squad (42.08) at last weekend's 3A state meet.
