SBLive Oklahoma All-State Boys Basketball 2022-23: Meet the first, second and third team members

SBLive Oklahoma is proud to announce the players who will comprise the Oklahoma All-State boys basketball team from this past season.

The top superlative award winners this season were: Brandon Garrison of Del City (Most Outstanding Player); Dale's Jeff Edmonson (Coach of the Year); and Jalen Montonati of Owasso (Newcomer of the Year).

Here now are the players that have made the first team, as well as the second and third team squads, as determined by the staff of SBLive Oklahoma.

First Team

Brandon Garrison, 6-9, Sr., Del City

15.9 ppg/9 rpg/2.3 apg/1 spg/1.5 blocks for a team that won the 5A state championship. Has signed with Oklahoma State.

Dayton Forsythe, 6-3, Jr., Dale

17.2 ppg/5.6 rpg/5.3 apg/1.8 spg/52.9% FG/81% FT/39.5% 3-point/5 double-doubles for a team that won the 2A state championship and finished the season undefeated.

Connor Dow, 6-7, Sr., Broken Arrow

15.7 ppg/4.56 rpg/1.11 apg/78.2% FT/65.5% FG/32.6% 3-point for a team that finished the regular season undefeated and played in the 6A championship game. The Oklahoma State signee scored 22 points in the state championship game against Edmond North.

Terry McMorris, 6-7, Sr., Oklahoma City Douglass

Averaged 24 ppg and 15 rpg for a team that won the 4A state championship. He averaged 15.3 ppg and 11 rpg in the state tournament.

CJ Nickson, 6-6, So., Weatherford

20.7ppg/7.4rpg/2.6apg for a team that reached the 4A state championship game.

Jaden Nickens, 6-4, So., Oklahoma City Millwood

Averaged 11.2 points per game for a team that repeated as 3A state champions. Nickens scored 12 points in the state championship game against Metro Christian.

Dylan Warlick, 6-5, Jr., Edmond North

15.1 ppg/8.4 rpg/2 apg for a team that repeated as 6A state champions.

DJ Dill, 6-2, Jr., Caddo

25.2 ppg/5.8 rpg for a team that won the Class A state championship.

Second Team

Luke Gray, 6-7, Jr., Oklahoma Christian School 

19.5 ppg/10.5 rpg/48.8 FG%/72 FT%

Parker Friedrichsen, 6-3, Sr., Bixby

30.1ppg/10.2 rpg/5.8 apg/3.2 steals/84 FT%/40% 3-point. Recently signed to play at Wake Forest.

TO Barrett, 6-4, Jr., Edmond North

16.6 ppg/5.1 rpg/4.6 apg

Cal Furnish, 5-11, So., Crossings Christian

15.1 ppg/3 rpg/5.1 apg

Mario Darrington, 6-0, Sr., Metro Christian

Averaged 15 ppg for a team that reached the 3A state championship game.

Zander Baker, 6-0, Sr., Putnam City North

13.67 ppg/3.04 rpg/2.82 apg/2.15 spg/53% FG/76% FT/32% 3-point

Jarreth Ingram, 6-8, Sr., Tulsa Memorial

16.7 ppg

David Castillo, 6-1, Jr., Bartlesville

21.2 ppg/ 5.3 rpg/ 5.7 apg. He recently committed to play at Kansas State.

Quincy Hopkins, 6-3, Jr., Midwest City Carl Albert

15 ppg/7 rpg/3 apg

Kray Rogers, 6-2, Jr., Ft. Cobb-Broxton

14.6 ppg/7.3 rpg/6.5 apg for a team that won the Class B state championship.

Caden Kitchens, 6-1, Sr., Kingfisher

15.6 ppg/5.3 rpg/1.6 steals

Tymier Adkins-Freeman, 5-9, Sr., Crooked Oak

27.8 ppg

Jadon Cool, 6-3, Sr., Holland Hall

17.1 ppg/4 rpg/3 apg/2 spg

Kieler Young, 6-2, Sr., Broken Bow

Brandon Mann, 6-5, Sr., Owasso

Carson Thomas, 6-4, Sr., Oklahoma Christian Academy

19.2 ppg/7.8 rpg/4.6 apg/47% FG/38.6% from 3 for a team that reached the Class 2A state title game.
