Pocola (Oklahoma) softball standout Allyssa Parker makes commitment to Oklahoma
Right now, University of Oklahoma softball coach Patty Gasso is on a roll.
The Sooners are coming off three straight national championships and are likely favored to win a fourth straight next spring. OU's on-field momentum has continued on the recruiting trail.
On Monday, another future Sooner is on the way after Pocola (Oklahoma) junior pitching standout Allyssa Parker announced on her X page she has committed to OU.
"I've been dreaming of this moment my whole life, to finally get to live it is unreal," Parker said in her announcement.
Last season, Parker went 22-2 with a 0.59 ERA and 150 strikeouts and just 36 walks in 130 innings. She also batted .460 with 20 home runs in helping Pocola reach the Class 2A fast pitch state title game last fall.

Parker will be part of a strong crop of Class of 2025 players that have committed to Gasso and the Sooners. Recently, OU secured the commitments of pitcher Sophia Bordi of Haddon Heights (New Jersey), considered the nation's top prospect, as well as catcher/infielder Kendall Wells of North Oconee (Georgia).
The Sooners are also bringing in some of the state's top seniors this season, including Caddo's Kadey McKay and Coweta's Chaney Helton.
OU will officially become a member of the Southeastern Conference prior to the 2024-25 school year.
