Oklahoma high school football computer rankings (9/27/2023)

Check out SBLive's custom rankings formula for every classification of Oklahoma football

With the Oklahoma high school football season in full swing, SBLive Sports has released its latest 2023 Oklahoma high school football computer rankings for every classification.

We will continue to release our computer rankings weekly for the duration of the season.

Once again, Bixby tops this week's Class 6AI rankings, with Mustang — like Bixby, also 4-0 — coming in second. Choctaw tops the Class 6AII rankings and Midwest City Carl Albert the same in Class 5A. Four 4-0 teams top the 4A poll, with Poteau leading the way.

SBLive's formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.
