Owasso overwhelms Mustang in huge district win
Mustang came into Friday's game unbeaten, while Owasso was coming off a loss to Tulsa Union.
However, the roles were drastically reversed as the Rams, after trailing 3-0 early, scored 54 unanswered points and went on to prevail, 54-3, in 6AI-2 district action Friday at Owasso.
Rams' senior quarterback Knox Dyson completed 19-of-26 passes for 233 yards and four touchdowns. Those included back-to-back TDs to tight end Mason Hendricks, covering 22 and 8 yards, which gave Owasso (3-2, 1-1) a 13-3 second-quarter lead after the Broncos (4-1, 1-1) opened the scoring with a field goal from Aiden Jordan.
Owasso later built a 27-3 halftime advantage.

Dyson capped his big night by throwing a 70-yard TD strike to Noah Hill on the first play of the fourth quarter, extending Owasso's lead to 41-3.
The Rams finished the night passing for 246 yards and rushing for 280 more. Sophomore tailback Jayson Moll rushed for 78 yards on 11 carries with a TD.
