Piedmont fast pitch softball player Peyton Gray voted SBLive's Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week

Gray hits clutch two-run walk-off single to help Piedmont repeat as state champions

In her last fast pitch softball game, and in her last at-bat, Peyton Gray delivered.

Gray, a senior at Piedmont, came through when her team needed her the most.

Piedmont has now won three straight fast pitch softball state titles, as Gray had a walk-off two-RBI single to win it for her team in the 5A championship game Oct. 14 in Norman.

Gray came up with runners on second and third and nobody out in the bottom of the seventh as the Wildcats trailed, 2-1. She drilled a shot to the outfield to bring in both runners, giving Piedmont another gold ball.

For her efforts, Gray was voted the SBLive Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 9-15.
