The final week of regular season high school football is upon us. Before we begin looking at that, we take a look back at some of the top individual performances from a week ago. 

Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 23-29. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to nominate an athlete, email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com or tag us on Twitter

Knox Dyson, Owasso football

In a 57-53 win over Edmond Santa Fe, the senior quarterback passed for a school-record 509 yards. Dyson also scored seven touchdowns, including the game-winner with 14 seconds left.

Issac Covington, Tulsa Union football

A win over Edmond Memorial moved the Redhawks to 8-1 on the year. Covington had 227 yards rushing and scored four touchdowns. Three of those scores came from 43, 53 and 60 yards out.

Cash Williams, Choctaw football

Williams was 23-of-27 and amassed 415 yards passing. He also had 110 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground in a 65-20 win over Putnam City.

Holden Thompson, Stillwater football

Thompson continues his great season, as he had 343 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns in a 55-14 win over Tahlequah.

Scott Rigby, Collinsville football

As a sophomore, Rigby had 134 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Defensively, he added seven tackles.

LaDainian/Rodney Fields, Del City football

The duo played well in a 43-14 win over Coweta. LaDainian had seven catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Rodney had 105 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Matt Lund, Elgin football

In a big district win over Lawton MacArthur, Lund had 155 yards on the ground and on his one reception, he scored a touchdown.

Kainon Gibson, Holland Hall football

The defensive back had a great night in a 21-7 win over Bristow. Gibson had 11 tackles, a sack, an interception and forced a fumble that he returned for a touchdown.

Barrett Travis, Heritage Hall football

Heritage Hall stayed undefeated after beating Sulphur on Friday night. It was Travis who ran for 185 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Fisher Lai, Cascia Hall football

As a freshman, Lai caught six passes, scoring three touchdowns and had a school-record 212 yards receiving in a 49-8 win against Inola.

Cooper Mitchell, Victory Christian football

As one of the top linemen in the state, Mitchell had 10 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and didn’t allow a sack as on the offensive line in a 30-14 win over Kansas.

Ayden Guess, Tulsa Central football

The senior tight end had seven catches for 162 yards and caught four touchdowns. He also had nine tackles in a 42-24 win at Jay.

Cale Winfrey, Adair football

The senior quarterback accounted for 456 yards of total offense and scored six touchdowns. Winfrey also had an interception and kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired in a 65-62 win over Pawhuska.

Nick Holmes/Allen Thompson, Western Heights football

The Jets got their first home win of the year, beating Watonga 32-20. Holmes caught an 80-yard touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 82 yards. Thompson accounted for four touchdowns.

Jaxon Woods, Hominy football

The Bucks had been on a collision course with Woodland for a Week 9 de facto district championship since the beginning of the year. Hominy came away with a 23-20 win and the senior quarterback in Woods came up clutch, scoring the game-winner with 49 seconds left.

Zac Rutherford, Edmond North boys cross country

Rutherford won the Class 6A cross country boys state championship with a time of 15:16.

Bella Nelson, Owasso girls cross country

Nelson won the Class 6A cross country girls state championship with a time of 17:29.

Trae Baker, Tahlequah boys cross country

The senior won the Class 5A cross country boys state championship with a time of 15:41.

Tennyson Housley, Lincoln Christian girls cross country

As a freshman, Housley won the Class 5A cross country girls state championship with a time of 18:28.
