Vote: Who should be SBLive's Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week (11/27/2023)?
With the best of the best remaining in high school football, it takes a team effort to win a state championship.
Sometimes, an individual performance will push a team over the top and here we take a look at some of those performances from last week.

Jett Turner, Bixby football
In a game that was tied at 14 early in the fourth quarter, the Spartans took control by scoring 42 unanswered points to get a 56-14 win against Owasso in the 6AI semifinals. Turner finished with 141 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Kaydin Jones, Jenks football
As a sophomore, Jones lifted his team to the 6AI state championship game against Bixby by accounting for 181 total yards on 24 touches in a 33-27 win against Tulsa Union. He scored three touchdowns, including the game-winner with 35 seconds left.
Jamarian Ficklin, Muskogee football
Ficklin continued his sensational junior campaign, as the quarterback accounted for 425 yards of total offense and scored five touchdowns in a 36-35 win against Edmond Deer Creek in the 6AII semifinals.
Holden Thompson, Stillwater football
In a 33-29 state semifinal win against Choctaw that advanced the Pioneers to the 6AII state championship game against Muskogee, Thompson had 134 yards rushing and a touchdown.
LaDainian Fields, Del City football
Fields powered Del City to a 34-13 win against Claremore this past weekend to get to the Class 5A state championship game. The TCU commit scored the first touchdown of the game on a 30-yard pass from River Warren. He scored two other touchdowns and racked up more than 200 yards of total offense on 10 receptions.
Kevin Sperry, Midwest City Carl Albert football
In a 51-28 win against Bishop McGuinness in the 5A semifinals, Sperry tossed three touchdown passes, including one from 86 yards out and another from 43 yards away. Sperry also ran for another score.
Witt Edwards, Wagoner football
In a 42-7 weekend win against Ada in the 4A semifinals, the senior had five catches for 112 yards and a touchdown to go along with a fumble recovery on defense.
Reagan Palmer, Blanchard football
Palmer has missed time this season due to injury, but made up for missed time this weekend in a 26-14 win against Poteau in the 4A semifinals. Palmer had a kickoff return for a touchdown and an interception on defense.
Sawyer Brooks, Lincoln Christian football
The two-way player made the difference in a 17-10 win against Perkins-Tryon on Friday night in the 3A semifinals. On only 17 touches, Brooks had 169 yards and defensively, he recorded eight tackles.
Andy Bass, Heritage Hall football
The senior quarterback led his team to a come-from-behind victory against Marlow to advance to the Class 3A finals. In the 31-29 win, he ran for 244 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 157 yards.
Clayton Creasey, Jones football
In a 56-38 win against Victory Christian in the 2A quarterfinals, the senior quarterback passed for 382 yards and tossed four touchdown passes.
Jentry Pendergraft, Kiefer football
The defensive star for the Trojans stepped up in a major way, as the senior linebacker amassed 16 tackles in a 34-14 win over Alva in the 2A quarterfinals. He also had a rushing touchdown.
Cameron Carter, Oklahoma City Millwood football
On only six rushes, Carter scored two touchdowns and ran for 91 yards en route to a 34-7 against Idabel in the 2A quarterfinals. He also made some major contributions on defense.
Jaxon Woods, Hominy football
The Bucks rolled into the Class A state semifinals after getting a 40-0 win over Boone-Apache on Friday night. Woods had 444 yards of total offense, scoring five times. He also forced a fumble, got an interception and recorded eight tackles on defense.
JohnMark Roller, Regent Prep football
The dual threat quarterback did a little bit of everything for his team in a 70-50 Class B quarterfinal win against Oklahoma Bible. Roller ran for 344 yards and six touchdowns, while also passing for two scores.
Dayton Forsythe, Dale boys basketball
High school basketball is about to ramp up into high gear and one of the best teams in the state tipped off at a nationwide tournament in Illinois over the weekend. In a four-game span, Forsythe - an Oklahoma signee - averaged 31 points, including a 49 point performance in a 69-65 win.
