It's still practically a new year, and several athletes across the state continue to make a presence for themselves. 

Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 15-21. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to nominate an athlete, email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com or tag us on Twitter

Walker Kennedy, Piedmont boys basketball

Kennedy scored 22 points to help lead the Wildcats to a 78-57 win against Webb City (Mo.) in the title game of the Four States Classic.

Roman Miller, Mustang boys basketball

Miller averaged 24 points, eight rebounds and two steals while being named the MVP of the Shawnee Invitational. He had 26 points and 12 boards in the Broncos' 56-48 win against Choctaw for the tournament championship.

Addy Whiteley, Fort Gibson girls basketball

Whiteley scored a season-high 31 points and also went 12-of-14 from the free-throw line as the Lady Tigers capped a strong run through their annual Old Fort Classic tournament with a 52-46 win against Stilwell.

Teague Muncy, Dale girls basketball

Muncy averaged 17.3 points and five rebounds while converting 40 percent of her 3-point attempts in three games as she helped the Lady Pirates win the Cashion County Line Tournament. In the title game, she had 18 points in a 69-22 win against Cashion. During the same tournament, Muncy also scored her 1,000th career point.

Luke Gray, Oklahoma Christian School boys basketball

Gray helped lead the Saints to the Cashion County Line Tournament championship with a 75-48 win against Fairview. He also became the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,676 career points now, ahead of former University of Oklahoma and NBA standout Blake Griffin.

Chris Mason, Victory Christian boys basketball

Mason scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds and made two emphatic dunks late as the Conquerors claimed the Catoosa Port City Classic title with a 73-63 win against Catoosa. He was named the tournament MVP, the third such honor he has received already this season.

Skylar Durley, Classen SAS girls basketball

Durley was named the MVP of the Jones Kiwanis Invitational with an 18-point performance in a 53-37 win against Jones for the title. She also had six rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Caya Smith, Putnam City West girls basketball

Smith averaged 12.7 points and 4.7 rebounds while being named MVP of the Jenks-Union Invitational. In the title game, the Lady Patriots defeated Edmond North, 47-45, ending the Lady Huskies' 47-game winning streak.

Katelyn Davis, Choctaw girls basketball

Davis had 22 points in the semifinals of the John Nobles Invitational, a win against Midwest City. Then, she scored 18 points in the title game, a 48-42 win against Owasso that kept Choctaw undefeated on the season.

Jalen Montonati, Owasso boys basketball

Montonati scored 27 points as the Rams repeated as champions of the Bill Hanson Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas, beating Blue Valley (Mo.) Northwest, 52-41, in the title game. Montonati was named the tournament MVP.

Garrett Scott, Pocola boys basketball

In his final appearance at the LeFlore County Tournament, Scott scored 39 points to help the Indians to a dominating 80-40 win against Heavener for the title.

Kauri Wilson, Sand Springs girls basketball

Wilson had 69 total points in three wins as the Lady Sandites claimed the title at the Carl Albert Titan Classic. She had 32 in the semifinals, an overtime win against Edmond Memorial; then in the title game, Wilson had 20 as Sand Springs defeated Midwest City Carl Albert, 61-49.

Lilly Thomas, El Reno girls basketball

Thomas was named the MVP of the Shawnee Invitational, averaging 13.7 points, 6 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots. She had 13 points in the title game, a 66-47 win against Yukon to keep the Lady Indians undefeated on the season.

Dalen Fuller, Tulsa Union boys basketball

Fuller had 26 points in the Redhawks' 76-72 win against Sand Springs in the semifinals of the Jenks-Union Invitational. Then in the title game, he scored 13 as Union won the championship with a 68-58 win against Crossings Christian.

Jamarri Simpson, Tulsa Booker T. Washington boys basketball

Simpson scored 21 points as the Hornets captured the championship of the Rogers Roper Invitational with a 64-54 win against Collinsville.

Eestyn Prater, Sequoyah-Claremore boys basketball

Prater was named the MVP of the Pryor Invitational as he helped the Eagles win their third straight title at the event. He also scored his 1,000th career point during the tournament.

Tyrus Teehee, Stilwell boys basketball

Teehee had a team-high 15 points, including going a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line in the fourth quarter, as the Indians claimed the Old Fort Classic title with a 56-48 win against Inola. He was named the tournament MVP.

Brianna Jones, Oklahoma City Douglass girls basketball

Jones had 29 points in the Lady Trojans' 74-46 win against Holland Hall in the title game of the Bruce Gray Invitational. She was also named the tournament MVP.

Allyssa Parker, Pocola girls basketball

Parker had a big night in the LeFlore County Tournament championship game, scoring 31 points as the Lady Indians defeated Howe, 53-44.

Ebi Bortey, Moore boys basketball

Bortey had 15 points, nine coming in the fourth quarter, to help the Lions win their own John Nobles Invitational title with a 60-45 win against Midwest City Carl Albert for the championship.

Clyde Davis Jr., Edmond Deer Creek boys basketball

Davis had 17 points and seven assists as the Antlers claimed the championship of their own Bruce Gray Invitational with a 66-63 win against Midwest City. He was also named the tournament's MVP.

Riley Conway, Edmond North boys swimming

Conway won four gold medals at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference meet, helping the Huskies win the team title. He took first in the 50 freestyle (21.74), the 100 freestyle (50.38), the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.51) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:23.60).

Avery Littlefield, Stillwater girls swimming

Littlefield won three gold medals at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference meet. She won first in the 50 freestyle (23.38), the 100 butterfly (55.79) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.78).

Devon Miller, Edmond North boys wrestling

Miller won the 120-pound weight class via a tiebreaker at the Jay Hancock Memorial Invitational in Yukon. His performance also helped the Huskies claim the team championship.

Eliana Banks, Shawnee girls wrestling

Banks turned in a dominating performance at the Yukon Ladies Invitational over the weekend, claiming the title of the 127-pound weight class.
