Championship weekend has arrived for Oklahoma high school boys basketball.
A champion will be crowned when Midwest City and Booker T. Washington square off in the OSSAA 5A state finals Saturday in Norman.
Midwest City (25-3) reached the title game after edging out crosstown rival Carl Albert for a 56-54 win in the state semifinals Friday, while Booker T. Washington (25-2) won 63-56 against Crossings Christian.

The 5A state championship game between Midwest City and Booker T. Washington is being streamed by the NFHS Network and is scheduled to tip off at 2:00 p.m. CT.

FOURTH QUARTER
-- A desperation three for Booker T. misses as time expires. Midwest City wins 69-66 to bring home the OSSAA 5A state title.
-- The Hornets miss a three, and Midwest City grabs the rebound. Roy Henderson is fouled and makes both free throws to put the Bombers ahead 69-66 with just under four seconds to go.
-- Carlsheon Young is fouled and goes 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Midwest City leads 67-66. Booker T. advances the ball past halfcourt and then calls its last timeout with 21 seconds left.
-- With Midwest City passing the ball around in an attempt to run out the clock, Booker T. forces a turnover and it results in an open layup for Isaac Sanders to put the Hornets ahead 66-65.
-- Roy Henderson drives the lane and puts Midwest City in front, 65-64. Only 1:01 remains on the clock.
-- BJ Harris finishes through contact and makes the ensuing free throw to give Booker T. a 64-63 lead with two minutes to go.
-- Isaac Sanders gets a bucket to go and BJ Harris scores off a turnover, and just like that it's all tied up again, 61-61.
-- Carlsheon Young drops in another three to reach 20 points today and give Midwest City a 59-53 lead.
-- Booker T. has now gone more than six minutes without scoring. The Hornets are ice cold offensively, but they only trail by four points.
-- Carlsheon Young goes 2-for-2 from the free throw line, and Midwest City has its largest lead of the game at 56-52.
THIRD QUARTER
-- Midwest City and Booker T. go scoreless in the final 2:30 of the quarter, so it's a tie game entering the fourth quarter of the state finals.
-- Midwest City ties the game at 52. The Bombers trailed by as many as 13 points in the second quarter but have fought back to tie the game with 2:30 to go in the third quarter.
-- The pace is picking up once again. Jarvis Nash cleans up a miss for Midwest City to make it 52-50 in favor of Booker T.
-- Four-star junior Carlsheon Young buries a three pointer to bring Midwest City within three. The Bombers are right back in this game.
-- Midwest City cuts it to a four-point game to start the third quarter, as Roy Henderson avoids a charge and scoops a layup in around a defender.
SECOND QUARTER
-- Jamarri Simpson pump fakes a three then drives to the basket for two as time expires in the first half. Booker T. leads 39-31 over Midwest City with two quarters left in the state championship game.
-- Booker T. head coach Eli Brown calls a timeout after a quick run by Midwest City makes it an eight-point game.
-- Mason Matulis with the and-one after eurostepping his way around a defender for a fastbreak layup. Booker T. leads by 13 points nearly halfway through the quarter.

FIRST QUARTER
-- Mason Matulis makes a three then drives to the basket for two on the next possession to give Booker T. a 22-19 lead after one quarter. The sophomore has eight points for the Hornets.
-- The teams are trading punches here in the first quarter. Booker T. has taken the lead twice in the past minute, and each time Roy Henderson has responded with a three to put Midwest City back in front.
-- Mason Matulis ties the game for Booker T. with a three pointer, then Isaac Sanders hits a pair of free throws to give the Hornets a 12-10 lead.
-- Oklahoma State commit Carlsheon Young drills a three pointer right after getting fouled on a three and going 3-for-3 at the line. A quick six points from the junior has Midwest City ahead 8-5 early in the quarter.
