Idabel girls basketball player Jaylen Cauthron voted SBLive's Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week

Cauthron came up big to help deliver first state title for Lady Warriors

In her very first state tournament appearance, Jaylen Cauthron definitely made a lasting impression.

Cauthron, a freshman guard for Idabel, had been dynamic all season for the Lady Warriors. Then, at the Class 3A state tournament, she continued her dazzling play as she averaged 18.7 points through three games.

In the championship game against Washington, she scored 25 points and made six 3-point baskets to help Idabel prevail, 64-56, as the Lady Warriors claimed the first state title in program history.

For her efforts, Cauthron was voted the SBLive Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for March 4-10.
