Congratulations to Salem Academy guard Lexi Herber for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 31-Feb. 6!

The freshman scored a game-high 19 points, helping the Crusaders tally a 58-40 win over North Douglas in a nonleague game played at Salem Academy. 

Herber received 40.56% of the vote, beating out La Salle Prep's Mia Skoro who finished second with 26.36%. Ashland's Abbey Lambert finished third with 12.3% and Barlow's Annie Koenig finished fourth with 7.34%. There were over 30,000 votes tallied this week!

Payton Allen, Central Catholic

The senior scored 24 points in a Mt. Hood Conference win over Sandy and 13 points in a loss to Barlow while also serving as the Rams’ lead defender and second-leading rebounder. 

Brooke Anderson, Grants Pass

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 17 points, including 14 in the first half, helping lead the Cavers to a 54-24 Southwest Conference win over Roseburg. Anderson sank four 3-pointers in the victory. 

Ava Arias, McDaniel

The senior had 42 points, two 3-point baskets, 17 rebounds, eight blocked shots and seven steals in helping the Mountain Lions notch a couple of victories over Franklin in Portland Interscholastic League play. 

Gracie Arnold, Cottage Grove

The senior forward scored a game-high 24 points, helping the Lions roll to a 58-21 win over Siuslaw in a Sky Em League game played at Siuslaw High School. Arnold also had 11 points and 12 rebounds in a league loss to Marist Catholic. 

Gabby Bland, Crescent Valley

The junior guard scored a game-high 20 points, helping the Raiders record a 66-30 win over Dallas in a Mid-Willamette Conference game played at Dallas High School.

Zoe Borter, Beaverton

The junior post helped lead the Beavers to a 44-31 win over Jesuit in a Metro League showdown played at Jesuit High School. Borter scored 17 points, tying her for game-high honors, while also having 13 rebounds. She scored 12 points in a 50-31 win over Westview. 

Beaux Bruegman, Sheldon

The junior post scored a team-high 15 points to help lead the Irish to a 48-40 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game played at South Eugene High School. 

Olivia Boyd, Gervais

The sophomore wing scored a game-high 19 points, helping the Cougars run to a 54-31 win over Sheridan in a Tri-River Conference game played at Gervais High School.

Avery Buss, McNary

The sophomore guard had a couple of strong performances for the Celtics. She had seven points to go with five steals and five rebounds in a 57-46 loss to Summit, and she followed by scoring 15 points and getting six steals in a 46-33 victory over McKay. 

Jazzy Davidson, Clackamas

The freshman guard/forward helped lead the Cavaliers to a 65-58 win over Barlow in a Mt. Hood Conference showdown played at Clackamas High School. Davidson had a double-double in the victory, with 28 points and 11 rebounds, while also shooting at a 10-for-18 clip from the field. 

Addison Dippel, Crater

The freshman guard sank a career-high five 3-point baskets on her way to scoring a game-high 17 points for the Comets in their 55-46 Midwestern League victory at Thurston. 

Paige Doerr, Marist Catholic

The junior guard scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds, helping the Spartans earn a 43-23 win over Marshfield in a Sky Em League game played at Marist Catholic. 

Sasha Esquiro, Madras

The sophomore scored a game-high 19 points, helping the White Buffaloes notch a 44-40 win at Corbett in a key Tri-Valley Conference contest. 

Fiona Farmer, McDaniel

The senior shooting guard had 14 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists as she helped the Mountain Lions earn a couple of victories over Franklin in Portland Interscholastic League play.

Madison Holmes, Marist Catholic

The junior guard had a big day for the Spartans in their 55-28 win over Cottage Grove in a Sky Em League game played at Cottage Grove High School. Holmes scored a game-high 15 points, while also having eight assists and three steals. 

Donovyn Hunter, South Medford

The junior guard, in her first game back from injury, scored a game-high 20 points to help lead the Panthers to an 81-21 win at North Medford. Hunter also had six steals and five rebounds in the victory. She scored 25 points in a 52-49 overtime win over Sheldon. 

Nykole Jackson, McDaniel

The senior point guard had a total of 16 points, four 3-point baskets, 11 assists, eight rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots as she helped the Mountain Lions get a couple of wins over Franklin in Portland Interscholastic League action. 

Gracie Johnson, Nyssa

The senior forward scored a game-high 14 points, while also shining on defense, for the Bulldogs in their 59-16 win over Umatilla in an Eastern Oregon League game played at Nyssa High School. 

Jordynn Jones, Cascade Christian

The freshman had a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Challengers in their 44-42 loss to St. Mary’s in a Far West League contest.

Rose Koehler, Summit

The junior scored a game-high 22 points, helping the Storm post a 57-46 win over McNary in a Mountain Valley Conference game played at McNary High School.

Annie Koenig, Barlow

The junior wing scored a game-high 31 points, shooting at a 9-for-16 clip from the field and making all 10 of her free throw attempts, for the Bruins in their 65-58 loss at Clackamas in a Mt. Hood Conference showdown. 

Abbey Lambert, Ashland

The 5-foot-1 junior point guard had a strong game for the Grizzlies, as their rally attempt came up just short in a 48-40 loss to North Bend in a Midwestern League game played at North Bend High School. Lambert sank a couple of 3-pointers on her way to scoring 16 points, while also taking care of the ball-handling duties. 

Janice Lee, McDaniel

The senior shooting guard sank a total of nine 3-pointers during the week. She had six 3-pointers, 24 points, five assists, three rebounds and four steals in helping the Mountain Lions get a couple of wins over Franklin in Portland Interscholastic League play. 

Sophia Megert, South Eugene

The senior guard scored a game-high 26 points for the Axe in a 48-40 loss to Sheldon in a Southwest Conference contest played at South Eugene High School.

Teryn Powers, Hidden Valley

The senior guard scored a game-high 15 points, while also coming up with four steals, helping the Mustangs post a 50-40 win over Klamath Union in a Skyline Conference game played at Hidden Valley High School.

Tatum Schmerbach, South Medford

The junior guard had a strong all-around performance for the Panthers in their 81-21 Southwest Conference victory at North Medford. Schmerbach scored 15 points while also having nine rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots. 

Mia Skoro, La SallePrep

The senior guard scored 19 points, on a 9-for-11 shooting night from the field, for the Falcons in their 75-27 Northwest Oregon Conference victory at St. Helens. Skoro then scored a game-high 23 points, making 5 of 7 shots from 3-point range, in a 71-17 win at Scappoose. 

Emme Whitson, Creswell

The senior guard poured in 32 points, while also having seven rebounds and five steals, as she helped the Bulldogs notch a 66-60 win over Santiam Christian in a Mountain Valley Conference game played at Creswell High School. 

Skylar Willey, Hidden Valley

The senior forward turned in a double-double, with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while also coming up with eight steals, as she helped the Mustangs earn a 46-34 win over Phoenix in a Skyline Conference game played at Phoenix High School.
