The Valiants ended a 19-game losing streak, posting their first victory since Oct. 25, 2019, with the win over the visiting Cardinals (0-7, 0-4 Coastal Range League).

Noah Holub contributed on both sides of the ball for the Valiants (1-5, 1-3). He had four catches for 170 yards, including touchdowns of 63 and 40 yards. On defense, he had five tackles for loss and an 80-yard fumble return for a score.
Alex Adams passed for 240 yards and two touchdowns for the Valiants, who matched their season scoring total entering the game with Friday’s output.
Jackson Farris (95 yards rushing) ran for two scores, and Henry McCarthy had 80 yards from scrimmage, including a 44-yard touchdown run. Will Louie carried seven times for 56 yards and a touchdown.
The Valiants’ defense got an interception by Kris Radosavljevic and a fumble recovery by Danny Paz.
The victory was the first as a head coach for the Valiants’ Michael Snyder, who is in his second season at the wheel of the Beaverton team.
