Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Oregon High School Team of the Week for May 15-21 as nominated by coaches, fans and readers. 

Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

Baker boys golf

The Baker boys won the 4A crown with a 613 team total, led by Isaiah Jones in third place with a two-round total of 143. Elias Long and Jaxon Logsdon also finished in the top 10.

Bend softball

Bend (24-2) finished unbeaten in the Intermountain Conference and wrapped up the regular season Thursday with a 6-0 shutout over 6A foe South Medford.

Canby softball

Canby (14-12) secured second place in the Northwest Oregon Conference with a 5-3 win over Putnam in Friday’s regular-season finale. The Cougars also pulled off a 9-7 win at Hood River Valley on Wednesday.

Crater track

The Crater boys team won the Midwestern League title with 210.5 points Thursday. The Comets won 7 of the 10 events on the track, led by Tyrone Gorze with a sweep of the distance races, and Scott Price doubled up in the high jump (5-11) and triple jump (44-0).

Crescent Valley girls tennis

The Crescent Valley girls won the 5A title with 26 points, more than double the score of any other school in the division. Anna Nguyen and Kiah Hollister combined for the doubles title, while Emily Gu reached the singles final.

Crook County girls golf

The Crook County girls shot a 705 to win the small-school team title by 15 strokes. Merritt O’Gorman led the Cowgirls with a 169 for 10th place.

Grants Pass track

The Grants Pass girls team won the Southwest Conference district meet with 222 points Thursday. The team dominated the throwing events, piling up 64 points across those three events. Addison Hull led a Cavemen sweep in the shot put (33-10.5) and a 1-2 effort in the discus (118-1), while Devan Foster led a 1-2 finish in the javelin (120-11).

Jesuit baseball

Jesuit (22-5), the Metro League champion, rounded out the regular season with a couple of nonleague wins, shutting out Grant 6-0 and winning at Clackamas 8-1.

Jesuit girls golf

The Jesuit girls scored a 663 total to edge Lake Oswego by two strokes for the 6A girls team title. Anna Poulin shot a 147 to finish in a tie for second place, while Kate Lee finished fifth.

The Jesuit girls scored 19 points to win the 6A tennis title over the weekend, highlighted by Sofia Bell and Mishi Batinkova claiming the doubles crown.

Jesuit track

The Jesuit girls claimed the Metro League title with 185 points Wednesday. Emma Bennett led a 1-2-3 Crusaders sweep in the 800 (2:10.73) while also winning the 1,500 (4:31.88). Iman Foster won the high hurdles (15.75) and long jump (16-7.5). The Crusaders also won the 1,600 relay (3:56.85).

La Salle Prep baseball

La Salle Prep (13-14) swept two from Centennial, 4-2 and 12-2, to claim the final spot in the 5A state bracket.

La Salle Prep (17-9) secured a 5A playoff berth by ending the regular season on a five-game win streak. The Falcons earned mercy-rule wins over all three of their opponents last week, outscoring them by a combined 47-3. Batting out of the No. 9 spot, Maili Jackson went 5 for 7 with four RBIs and seven runs. Ace pitcher Daphne Forman threw a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts in Friday’s finale against Parkrose.

Lake Oswego boys golf

The Lake Oswego boys team scored a 610 to win the big-school trophy by seven strokes over Tigard. The Lakers posted a tournament-high 23 birdies and finished 6-under-par as a team on the par-5 holes. Tanner Frinell led Lake Oswego, shooting a two-round score of 148 to finish in a three-way tie for eighth place.

Lincoln baseball

Lincoln (19-7) secured the PIL title with a 10-9 win over Franklin in Wednesday’s regular-season finale. The Cardinals took Game 1 of the series 15-3 on Tuesday night.

Lincoln swept the team titles at Friday’s PIL district meet. The Cardinals piled up 150.5 points to win the girls meet, led by Sophia Malinoski with wins in the 800 (2:15.96) and 1,500 (4:35.62). The Lincoln boys scored 146 points, led by Julian Krozel with wins in the high hurdles (14.89) and intermediate hurdles (40.65).

Marist Catholic boys tennis

Marist Catholic tallied 20 points to claim the small-school boys title with Jack Kiefer and Peyton Tyner winning the doubles bracket and E.J. Roedl reaching the singles final.

Nelson track

The Nelson girls team won the Mt. Hood Conference title Wednesday with 189 points. Emelia Puerta won the 100 (12.74), 200 (25.84) and 400 (59.99) and ran the second leg on the winning short relay (48.94). Teammate Simone Sideris won the high hurdles (15.57) and intermediate hurdles (46.36), and she ran the third leg on the winning 1,600 relay (4:07.59). In the field, Sideris won the long jump (17-4.5) and Rachel Hardy won the triple jump (36-4.75).

Oregon Episcopal boys golf

The Oregon Episcopal boys won the small-school team title by six strokes over second-place Valley Catholic.

Oregon Episcopal girls tennis

Oregon Episcopal scored 13 points to claim the small-school girls crown, highlighted by Sophia Dube and Marin Roseman advancing to the doubles final.

Roosevelt softball

Roosevelt (16-7) secured the PIL crown with a 7-3 win over second-place McDaniel in Monday’s regular-season finale.

Sheldon softball

Sheldon (25-1) closed the regular season with a 9-0 win over Crater on Thursday — the team’s 18th shutout. The Irish lead the state defensively, allowing only 18 runs on the season.

Summit baseball

Summit (18-6) claimed the top seed out of the Intermountain Conference after wrapping up the regular season with a 6-5 win over 6A qualifier South Medford on Wednesday.

Summit boys golf

The Summit boys won the eight-team 5A tournament with a 640 team total, led by Nick Huffman in a three-way tie for third place with a 159 score. Teammates Jakob Hansen and Bryce Grieb also finished in the top 10.

Summit boys tennis

The Summit boys tallied 28 points to cruise to the 5A title as the only school to score in double digits. Ben Bonetto led the way with a comeback win in the championship match to claim the singles title. In the doubles bracket, it was an all-Storm title bout with Max Himstreet and Zack Olander beating teammates Aidan MacLennon and Otto Haar for the title.

Summit girls golf

The Summit girls shot a 679 to win the 5A crown by 12 strokes. Zoe Garcia finished with a 153 for second place in the individual rankings with Saylor Gillet also placing in the top 10.

The Dalles softball

The Dalles (22-3) moved up two classes and knocked off 6A playoff qualifier Glencoe on the road in Thursday’s regular-season finale.

West Linn boys tennis

The West Linn boys tallied 23 points to claim the 6A boys crown, led by Cameron Paul and Rhyson Chiang’s run to the doubles final.

Wilsonville baseball

Wilsonville (19-6) secured the Northwest Oregon Conference crown by sweeping a two-game set over runner-up Putnam, 12-4 and 8-7.

Wilsonville swept the team titles at the Northwest Oregon district meet Thursday. The Wildcats scored 178 points to win the girls meet with Ella Milanovich winning the 800 (2:21.50) and Kenley Whittaker winning the high hurdles (16.19) and intermediate hurdles (47.43). In the field, Caroline DeLaMotte won the long jump (16-10) and triple jump (36-8). Wilsonville totaled 151 points on the boys side, led by Carter Cutting with wins in the 800 (1:53.53) and 1,500 (3:55.64), while Cooper Hiday doubled up in the high hurdles (15.91) and intermediate hurdles (40.47). Max Wu added a win in the high jump (5-10).
