F/M Alli Aldinger, Milwaukie, junior

Aldinger is a three-year starter who made the all-Northwest Oregon Conference second team last season. She played on a travel team that went to Europe over the summer and played in the Youth World Cup. While Mustangs coach Chris Sheehan said she could play anywhere on the pitch, he uses her primarily as an attacking midfielder or striker. “She is a strong, fast, intelligent and highly skilled player who has an eye for a goal and puts her body on the line every time she steps on the field,” Sheehan said.

F Maya Alston, McNary, senior

Alston made the all-Central Valley Conference second team at midfielder last season, but first-year Celtics coach Josh Rios Noonkester moved her wide as a right wing, and she made an immediate impact with both goals in a season-opening 2-0 win over Century. “Maya is a skilled finisher and a leader on our front line,” Rios Noonkester said. “She finds dangerous positions in the attacking third and is determined to score every game.”

F Sofia Ballesteros, Westview, sophomore

Ballesteros, an honorable mention all-Metro League selection as a freshman, plays the 9 or the 10 for the Wildcats, showing a knack for finishing in the attack. “She's able to control the ball as well as involve her teammates all around her,” coach Brad Pollard said. “She is a great leader and brings a positive vibe to the squad.”

F Jillian Bremont, Redmond, senior

Bremont is a three-sport standout for the Panthers, returning from a torn ACL suffered during basketball as a freshman to score six goals with six assists on the soccer pitch and place fifth in the 300-meter hurdles at the 5A state track and field meet in May. Eastern Oregon and Calvin University are among the schools expressing interest in her in both sports. “She felt pressure last year when she came back,” coach Martha Segura said. “She’s a very explosive player, and we’re really working with her finishing 1v1.”

F Elise Broberg, Forest Grove, senior

Broberg teamed with older sister Sophia to form one of the best scoring tandems in the state last season. While Sophia made the SBLive Oregon all-state second team and is now at Pacific University, Elise was the team's leading scorer with 12 goals to go with eight assists. She was named to the High School All-American Game Watch List in August.

F Ella Cohen, Cleveland, freshman

Cohen made an impact on the Warriors front line in their season opener, scoring twice in a 4-2 victory at 2021 state champion Beaverton. “An overall strong player,” coach Doug Diller said.

F Elsa Contrell, St. Mary’s Academy, senior

Contrell last season shared the team lead with five goals and assisted on three more, making the all-Three Rivers League honorable mention list. Blues coach Greg Martin loves how the left-footed striker can finish with either foot and likes to make runs behind the defense.

F Bri Crane, Wilsonville, senior

Crane was a second-team all-Northwest Oregon Conference selection as a sophomore but missed all of last season because of injury. Wildcats coach Alex Boehm welcomes having her presence alongside Camryn Schaan and Kenley Whittaker in the attack this season. “She is a powerful force with incredible vision,” Boehm said. “Teams will have a hard time stopping her.”

F Addi Dauler, Catlin Gabel, sophomore

Eagles coach Chris Dorough called Dauler “a true striker who can score from anywhere” after a freshman season in which she had 20 goals in just nine games, making the 3A/2A/1A all-state first team and helping the team reach the state final. “Addi is an outstanding finisher with the vision and poise to set up teammates,” Dorough said.

F Abbie Day, Grant, senior

Day returns to the starting lineup this year after struggling with injuries last season. “We are looking for her to score and assist goals during the run of play and set pieces,” coach Manolis Tjuanakis said.

F Morgan Duke, West Salem, senior

Duke figures to be on the brief list of 6A player of the year candidates after a junior year in which she scored a team-high 16 goals for the Central Valley Conference champions. The first-team all-CVC selection and All-American Watch List nominee has committed to play for the University of Nevada in Reno. “Morgan is a strong player for us up top and a danger in front of the net, creating scoring opportunities for herself and teammates,” first-year Titans coach Hillary Arthur said.

F/M Marian Dunne, Jesuit, sophomore

Dunne, the younger sister of Timbers Academy prospect and North Carolina commit Michael Dunne, showed similar promise as a freshman for the Crusaders, making the all-Metro League first team and 6A all-state second team and scoring 14 goals (including the only score in their victory over West Linn in the state final) with a team-high 12 assists. “She took a very aggressive role as the season went on,” coach Steve Fennah said. “She contributed fantastically as a freshman and didn’t play like one.” Dunne is returning from a summer injury, but Fennah expected her to be good to go by the time league play starts.

F Paige Edmonson, Sutherlin, senior

Edmonson won 3A/2A/1A player of the year honors and was named to the SBLive Oregon all-state second team after a junior season in which she scored 38 goals with five assists to lead the Bulldogs to the state quarterfinals.

F Jordan Fagert, North Valley, senior

Fagert enters her fourth season on varsity following a junior year in which she scored 18 goals and recorded eight assists in earning 3A/2A/1A all-state honorable mention and leading the Knights to the state semifinals. “Very good technically and very fast,” coach Paul Williams said. “She doesn't lose speed when dribbling with the ball. A natural finisher who works incredibly hard every practice to push herself and the team.”

F/M Ellie Felt, Sunset, senior

Felt was the Gatorade state player of the year last season and a first-team SBLive Oregon all-state selection after scoring 24 goals with six assists. The Portland Thorns Academy product has committed to Oregon State, and Apollos coach Jim Maine said she plans to finish her high school coursework early to get a head start on her college career. “Ellie has worked hard as a student and absolutely understands the important balance of the classroom and the field,” Main said.

F Kaia Fetch, Yamhill-Carlton, junior

Fetch was one of the top scorers in 3A/2A/1A last season, finishing with 22 goals and eight assists in earning all-state honorable mention and leading the Tigers to a fourth consecutive playoff berth. She started her career as a defender and defensive midfielder, “but as she grew and developed, she naturally moved into that striker position,” said her coach and father, Mike Fetch. “She just has a knack of knowing where the ball is going to go and has the speed to get to it.”

F Paulina Filip, Valley Catholic, senior

Filip was a corner kick specialist for the 3A/2A/1A state champion Valiants last season — she delivered three that led to goals in a first-round playoff win over Banks and another in the state final against Catlin Gabel. Coach Chris Thurley said Filip “is probably a natural wide player at the higher level, but she will do whatever the team needs. A great work ethic and an excellent capacity to get better.”

F Izzy Flores, South Salem, senior

Flores was part of the Saxons' three-headed monster up front last season, with all three making the all-Central Valley Conference first team. The four-year varsity starter had three goals and three assists in conference play. “Izzy was seemingly born with a ball at her feet,” coach Tillerman Kroon said. “She is a defender’s worst nightmare as she is a dangerous dribbler and has an impeccable touch.”

F Meredith Gardner, Scappoose, senior

Gardner complemented all-state midfielder Alice Davidson in Scappoose's attack last year, scoring 10 goals with three assists and making the all-Cowapa League first team. Coach Bruno Zanotta called her “a seasoned senior soccer player with a crafty and quick playing style. Her exceptional vision on the field allows her to navigate plays and opportunities with finesse, making her a valuable asset to any team.”

F/M Halle Hammer, Cascade, freshman

Hammer stepped into the void created when first-team all-Oregon West striker (and the program's all-time leading goal scorer) Diana Burnell transferred for her senior year, scoring three goals in the Cougars' opening week of the season. “Halle is a go-getter and took over a huge role as a freshman,” coach Robert Leon said.

F Cassidy Harding, West Linn, junior

Harding was the third member of the Lions' front line to receive all-Three Rivers League recognition last fall, making the honorable mention list.

F Ellie Henson, Junction City, senior

Henson made the all-Sky Em League first team last season, when she scored eight goals with seven assists. Tigers coach Dennis Larson praised how this year, “Ellie has transitioned into a bigger leadership role for us. She is a great player for us, and we are hoping for big things out of her this season.”

F Itzel Hernandez, Ontario, senior

Hernandez made the all-Greater Oregon League first team last season, helping the Tigers advance to the 4A state playoffs. Coach Javier Gonzalez believes Hernandez has the look of a leading 4A player of the year candidate. “She's a very skilled player with great dribbling skills who can find the back of the net from anywhere,” Gonzalez said.

F Amyrah Hill, The Dalles, senior

Hill played a leading role in the Riverhawks posting their best record since 2010 with nine wins last year, scoring 21 goals with six assists and earning 4A all-state first-team honors. “She is a real threat up top with both scoring and distributing to teammates,” coach Colby Tonn said.

F Madison Hill, Gladstone, senior

Hill is the only senior returning from last year's 4A semifinalists, and Gladiators coach Anna Heuberger appreciates how her second-team all-Tri-Valley Conference selection “balances our attack with her consistency on set plays and efforts to play off our other strikers.” Hill finished second on the team with 11 assists last season.

F Maya Ince, Sherwood, senior

Ince will be counted upon to step into the spotlight following the graduation of SBLive Oregon all-state second-team striker Ella Weathers (19 goals, nine assists) and season-ending knee injury to all-Pacific Conference first-teamer Savannah Leahy (seven goals). “We think Maya's development over the past year will really help us,” Bowmen coach Karl Granlund said. “She’s become a reliable attacking player who can get in behind the opponent’s back line or play through the midfield.”

F Ava Johnson, West Linn, senior

Lions coach Madison Gellos praised the second-team all-Three Rivers League selection for her versatility, crediting it with why Johnson was named the team's player of the game in the OSAA 6A state final. “I believe part of that was her ability to change positions mid-game without having to be subbed off,” Gellos said.

F Caile Lader, North Marion, senior

Lader moved between the midfield and the front line last year, when she had 11 goals and 14 assists in making the all-Oregon West first team. Huskies coach Ben Bonser plans to keep her at striker full-time this season, “and we have high hopes for her. She's only gotten better on the field.”

F Mya Mauch, Henley, senior

Mauch was one of the Hornets' top scorers last season, helping them finish second in the Skyline Conference and qualify for the 4A state playoffs. The second-team all-conference selection “is a quick forward that is deadly on the outside,” assistant coach Tiffany Poe said.

F/M Maddison Mockridge, North Valley, senior

Mockridge was a versatile player for the Knights last year, playing striker, on the wing and as an attacking midfielder, recording seven goals with six assists and making the 3A/2A/1A all-state second team. “As a coach, you are comfortable putting her almost anywhere on the field due to her work rate,” coach Paul Williams said. “Her movement off the ball is a big attribute; her finishing is getting better every year. And she gives opponents no time on the ball when out of possession.”

F Maeve Morris, South Salem, senior

Morris led the Saxons with nine goals — one more than current Weber State freshman Mya Fry — and had four assists in making the all-Central Valley Conference first team last season.

F Eliza Nisly, Amity, sophomore

Nisly's arrival along with twin sister Adie in the midfield last year helped propel the Warriors to the best season in program history — a 15-2-2 record, first league title, first state playoff win and berth in the 3A/2A/1A semifinals. Eliza scored a team-high 23 goals and made the all-state second team. “Eliza is an underclassman but a great leader,” coach Andrew Dyer said.

F Kendra Parsons, Sutherlin, senior

Parsons scored four goals for the Bulldogs last season, and coach Miguel Carrillo hopes she can use the speed she showed in making the 100- and 200-meter finals at May's Class 3A state track and field meet to become more of a threat in the attack this fall. “I think she will surprise a lot of coaches this year,” Carrillo said.

F Kendal Priaulx, North Eugene, senior

Priaulx was a second-team 5A all-state selection for the Highlanders last year, scoring 11 goals and assisting on another for the state semifinalists. “Kendal is a fast, dynamic forward, who is dangerous going forward,” coach Brandy Wormdahl said. “She is looking at a variety of schools and definitely has what it takes to play in college.”

F Kate Ratanaproeksa, Grant, junior

Ratanaproeksa, a second-team all-PIL selection last season, will have a bigger role in the attack this year after the graduation of top scorer Olivia Lukrofka (11 goals, seven assists, now at the University of San Francisco). “We are looking for her to continue her presence in the final third of the field and get involved in scoring more goals this year,” Generals coach Manolis Tjanakis said.

F Claudia Rose, Jesuit, junior

Rose made the SBLive Oregon all-state third team last season, when she scored 13 goals and added eight assists to help the Crusaders win a 15th state title. The Portland Thorns Academy product and Loyola Marymount commit made the ECNL Northwest U16 all-conference first team this summer. “A very good natural striker with her back to goal bringing others into the play,” coach Steve Fennah said. “I’d like to see her be even more greedy at times. I’m expecting her to do really well for us.”

F Camryn Schaan, Wilsonville, sophomore

No pressure on Schaan as a freshman — just step into the striker role held by the state's all-time leading scorer, Lindsey Antonson, for a defending state champion. No problem. Schaan scored 13 goals and had five assists to help the Wildcats win a second consecutive 5A title, made the SBLive Oregon all-state second team, and while playing for her club team was named to the ECNL Northwest all-conference second team. “Camryn is a next-level competitor who has an incredibly high ceiling,” coach Alex Boehm said. “She's always looking to go to goal and has the technical ability and intensity to be a threat in every game.”

F Anika Schramm, McDaniel, senior

Schramm's versatility — she can play at the 7, 9 or 11 for the Mountain Lions — will be put to effective use by coach JD Penilton as he searches for offense to replace the 16 goals scored by Nailani Solomon, who transferred to Grant. “Anika provides an outlet for us in wide spaces that we can use to counter and will be relied upon to score some goals for us to succeed,” Penilton said.

F Kylee Schreck, West Linn, sophomore

Schreck was a spark plug up front for the Lions last year, scoring nine goals and helping propel them to their first 6A state final. She made the SBLive Oregon all-state third team and 6A all-state second team.

F Kylah Sprague, Canby, senior

Sprague will play at both the high forward and wingback positions this fall for the Cougars. She scored five goals last season and made the all-Northwest Oregon Conference second team. “Kylah is very versatile and had a lot of success last year getting the ball in the back of the net,” coach Dallas Hill said. “I am excited to see her grow this season and become a leader in both of those positions.”

F Ema Streng, Tualatin, sophomore

Streng has had bad luck with injuries during her brief time with the Timberwolves, “but when she can play, our team goes up a notch,” coach Kalé Dwight said. “The team sees her and says, ‘We need to be better.’ It brings the entire team up.”

F Fia Swanson, North Marion, junior

Swanson missed most of the second half of the 2022 season and the Huskies' run to the 4A state semifinals because of injury, but she still managed to record six goals and seven assists and make the all-Oregon West second team. “She should be able to provide a lot of offense for us this year,” coach Ben Bonser said.

F/D Macy Taylor, Thurston, junior

Taylor was a second-team all-Midwestern League selection last season for the Colts, who won the league title and reached the 5A quarterfinals. With their top three scorers having graduated, they'll need her to pick up the scoring slack this fall. “Macy is a ferocious player who wants it and gives 100% on the field in games and practices,” coach Benton Canaga said. “She is a leader for Thurston and loves scoring goals, while also preventing any shots from happening.”

F Katya Tercek, Barlow, junior

Tercek thrived playing alongside all-state striker Kennedie Shuler last year, scoring seven goals with nine assists and earning second-team all-Mt. Hood Conference honors. Her role last season was to make runs that opened things for others, but coach Jay Jacobsen believes “she has all the tools to be a leading goal scorer. She’s got great pace, good vision, and is a shifty player. I’m looking for her to break out and have a good season.”

F Zari Thomas. North Eugene, freshman

Thomas placed third in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200 in the middle school division of the Nike Outdoor Nationals in June, and Highlanders coach Brandy Wormdahl envisions her using that blazing speed to get behind defenses this fall — she scored three goals in a 20-minute preseason jamboree game. “She is an amazingly gifted soccer player,” Wormdahl said. “She is very hard to catch if she gets a step on a defender.”

F Riley Unruh, Beaverton, senior

Unruh led the Beavers in scoring last season with seven goals, earning second-team all-Metro League recognition. “She provides a lot of experience for us,” coach Jennifer Kirwan said. “She has excellent leadership qualities and is one of our leaders in the final third.”

F Elizabeth Valdez Vazquez, Woodburn, senior

Valdez Vazquez led the Bulldogs with 12 goals and five assists last season, making the all-Mid-Willamette second team and leading them to the 5A state playoffs. “Elizabeth is a leader in the attack,” coach Andrea Fox said. “She is dedicated to constantly improving her game and has an excellent vision of the field. She is quick, skilled, and has a lethal finish.”

F Tori Vera, Gladstone, junior

Vera's production was lost a bit playing alongside SBLive Oregon all-state first-team striker Rhyli Grim and her 48 goals last year, but Vera had 27 goals and 13 assists and made the all-Tri-Valley Conference first team and helped the Gladiators reach the 4A semifinals. “Tori's intelligence when it comes to soccer is truly impressive,” coach Anna Heuberger said. “As a junior, Tori will have a huge role as an emerging leader as we hope to rebuild a very young team this season.”

F Reese Wedding, Redmond, senior

Wedding followed a 29-goal sophomore season in which she became the first Redmond player to make an all-state team since 2008 by scoring 16 goals with six assists last year, helping the Panthers make consecutive 5A playoff appearances for the first time since 2007-08. She has interest from Cal Poly Humboldt, Oberlin and Blue Field State. “She’s been playing club all offseason, and her skills are really fine-tuned this season,” coach Martha Segura said. “I’m excited to see what she does this year.”
