West Linn left no doubt.

In a matchup of the top two teams in SBLive's Class 6A Oregon high school football computer rankings, the Lions shut out Tualatin 37-0 last week. The win cemented West Linn's spot as the No. 1 team in the rankings.

South Salem moved up to No. 2 in the latest computer rankings, while Central Catholic jumped to No. 3. Tualatin dropped to No. 4 with the loss.

SBLive's computer rankings formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm in order to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.
