Here are the Oregon high school volleyball stars of the week for Oct. 9-15, as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Mayenabasi Akpan, South Medford

The sophomore had another huge performance for the Panthers, this time with 28 kills, 21 digs and three blocks in a 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-8 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference match held at South Eugene High School. She then had 15 kills, eight digs, two aces and two blocks in a match against Sheldon.

Ada Bernard, St. Mary’s (Medford)

The sophomore had a big night for the Crusaders with 30 kills and 12 digs in their 22-25, 25-9, 17-25, 25-12, 19-17 win against North Valley in a Far West League contest.

Cali Bitzer, Mazama

The sophomore middle blocker had 40 kills, 23 digs, eight blocks and six aces for the week, helping the Vikings sweep Klamath Union and Hidden Valley in Skyline Conference play, and also get a 2-1 win over Tillamook at the Marshfield tournament.

Paije Carpenter, North Medford

The junior outside hitter shined with 11 digs and 10 kills for the Black Tornado in a 25-23, 25-21, 25-19 win at Grants Pass in a Southwest Conference match.

Lainie Carter, Ashland

The senior outside hitter had 12 kills, five digs and two aces for the Grizzlies in their 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, 25-9 win at Springfield in a Midwestern League match.

Julia Cook, Thurston

The senior had 10 kills and five aces for the Colts in their 25-16, 25-6, 25-19 win over North Eugene in a Midwestern League match played at Thurston High School.

Paige Decker, North Valley

The junior setter/right side had 14 assists and seven aces for the Warriors in their 25-11, 25-7, 25-16 home victory against Pacific in a Skyline League match.

Josie Essner, Monroe

The junior middle blocker shined with 35 kills, 18 digs, six blocks and eight aces for the Dragons in their 23-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-19 win at East Linn Christian in a Valley Coast Conference match.

Addison Holcomb, Eagle Point

The junior had nine kills, five digs and three blocks to help the Eagles get a 25-19, 25-14, 25-17 sweep at Ashland in a Midwestern League match.

Hadley Hughes, Willamina

The freshman outside hitter/setter had a total of 25 kills, 11 assists and nine aces for the Bulldogs in Tri-River Conference wins over Regis and Kennedy.

Flannery Lundgren, Ashland

The senior middle blocker came up big with 19 kills, five digs, three blocks and a pair of aces to help the Grizzlies score a 25-14, 23-25, 25-21, 25-9 victory at Springfield in a Midwestern League contest.

Mahala McCrae, North Salem

The senior setter/outside hitter had a clutch performance for the Vikings with 20 digs, 23 assists, 13 kills and two aces in a 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 25-23 win at South Salem in a key Central Valley Conference match.

Kylee Mills, East Linn Christian Academy

The senior outside hitter/opposite had 17 kills and four aces for the Eagles in a five-set win against Illinois Valley in Valley Coast Conference play, and she had 20 kills and six aces in a four-set victory over Oakland.

Amy Pappas, Umpqua Valley Christian

The senior setter/outside hitter had a double-double for the Monarchs with 12 kills and 10 assists in a 25-17, 25-14, 25-17 win at Camas Valley in a Skyline League clash.

Mirra Riddle, North Bend

The senior libero had 30 digs for the Bulldogs in their 22-25, 25-17, 25-12, 22-25, 15-10 win over Cottage Grove in a Sky Em League match played at North Bend High School.

Gracee Robertson, Sheldon

The senior middle blocker had 12 kills and six blocks to help lead the Irish to a 25-22, 25-21, 25-16 win over South Medford in a Southwest Conference match played at Sheldon High School.

Julia Slaughter, South Medford

The sophomore had 51 assists, 18 digs, four kills and a pair of aces to help the Panthers come away with a five-set 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-8 win at South Eugene in a Southwest Conference tilt.

Brooke Spicer, Willamette

The senior has shown growth, dedication and resilience for the Wolverines throughout the season. Despite having to endure a family tragedy, she made sure to be there with the Willamette squad for senior night, showing strength on behalf of her family, and behalf of her team.

Nevaeh Thew, Echo

The senior had a huge night for the Cougars with 15 kills, 14 digs and nine assists in their 17-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-13 win at Griswold in an Old Oregon League match. She also had 18 kills, 11 assists, six digs and five aces in a 25-12, 25-22, 24-26, 15-25, 15-13 win over Stanfield.

Maddie Todd, Cascade Christian

The senior outside hitter shined with nine kills, five digs and four aces for the Challengers in their 25-23, 25-21, 25-12 victory against South Umpqua in Far West League action.

Yana Tuioti, Sheldon

The sophomore outside hitter/libero stepped up with 17 digs and 12 kills for the Irish in a 17-25, 25-14, 25-12, 25-14 victory at Roseburg in a Southwest Conference showdown.

Teagan Wilson, Santiam Christian

The senior tallied 18 kills and three aces to help the Eagles soar to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-23 win over Amity in a PacWest Conference match played at Amity.
