Lily Gonzalez of The Dalles voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week

Gonzalez received 49.27% of the vote, beating out North Marion's Victoria Valenzuela, who finished second with 41.90%

Congratulations to The Dalles’ Lily Gonzalez for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week for the Week of Oct. 9-15. 

Gonzalez, a freshman midfielder for the The Dalles girls soccer team, scored a total of three goals and added an assist for the Riverhawks in their Tri-Valley Conference victories over Crook County and Estacada.

Gonzalez received 49.27% of the vote, beating out Victoria Valenzuela, a freshman on the North Marion girls soccer team, who finished second with 41.90%. Julie Slaughter, a sophomore on the South Medford volleyball team, was third with 4.33% and Kendal Yazzolino, a freshman on the St. Mary’s of Medford girls soccer team, was fourth with 2.07%. There were more than 81,000 votes tallied this week.
